DALLAS FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) — Real Estate Mogul and Republican Presidential nominee Donald J Trump has surged to a twelve point lead in Texas over Former Secretary of State and Democrat nominee, Hillary R. Clinton in the latest KTVT CBS 11 Dixie Strategies Poll.

If the presidential election were held today, 52 percent of likely general election voters said they would vote for Trump while 39 percent said they would vote for Clinton. This marks the first time Trump has polled over 50 percent in Texas and casts doubt on any Democratic victory on November

>>Can you say “Wendy Davis”? I knew you could.

I’m actually surprised the LSM hasn’t pointed out that the witch is getting twice the votes that Wendy Davis did just 2 short years ago.

Why with that kind of trend, Texas will be dark blue in 2 years, and by 2020 the rats will get 160% of the votes. /LSMBS

I don’t know ... it’s looking pretty close ... better start concerning myself. That campaign blitz Hillary made into Texas is getting me nervous.

I’m going to go take my pills now.

“Be Happy...Texas never really in doubt.”

That’s not the story here - story is that margin is so large (even for Texas), it makes success more conceivable in other “less Red” states.

Just on Friday the NPR Politics podcast spent about 5 minutes talking about how Texas was in play!

Once the wall is built, Texas should stay red for a long, long time.

Red like in Conservative. NO more of these Rino, Globalist, Kumbaya singing, UN lovin, liberal apologist, mealy-mouthed, chicken excement, sheeple shepards we've had to hold our noses and vote for in the past.

We are supposed to LISTEN to our masters (MSM media, hollywood, dems, RINOs).

We are not and they are quite upset.

I admit to being consumed with this election. I am on the edge of diabetes, I’m sure, for mindless consumption of Hershey’s Chocolate Nuggets as I peruse the latest...

One thing I was never concerned about was Texas going for Hillary.

I'm counting on Trump to redefine the GOP. Rewrite the platform for the 21st century, realign the GOP with it's true base, and build bridges with hard working Americans of all races and creeds who share the values of quality quality education, hard work with opportunity to excel, and less burdensome government . People that have been abandoned by the democrats and had previously not been able to identify with globalist snobs the GOP threw at them every election. I don't want to see it all reverse back to the status quo right after he's out of office like it did with Reagan. That's why I love the role his children are playing in this campaign. I don't believe in presidential dynasties but I do love the idea of Trump having smart, energetic people in their prime who are 100% committed to protecting his legacy (including the reformed party) after he leaves office. Maybe we can sustain it this time.

3 votes to Trump from this Texas Family last Saturday :)

I predict a Trump blowout in Texas. People are coming out to vote and it ain’t for Hillary.

Trump: 56 %
Hillary: 39 %

And FOX has probably moved Texas to ‘leans Democrat’ like it did for NC.

Can’t be true. . .after all, Faux News still shows Texas as “leaning GOP” and not clearly GOP.
