White House Watch: No Fallout for Clinton So Far
Rasmussen reports ^ | 10/31/16

Posted on 10/31/2016 6:43:08 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

Clinton appears unbruised so far from the reopening of the FBI’s investigation of her and holds a slight lead as the final full week of the campaign begins.

The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch national telephone and online survey finds Clinton with 45% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Trump’s 42%. Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has five percent (5%) of the vote, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein earns two percent (2%).

My Democratic neighbor, Marge, said when I spoke of the latest Clinton corruption, “Well Trump’s dirty, too.” That’s her standard reply when anything nasty comes out about Clinton.

I’m thinking Huma will be the scapegoat for Shillary. This is a perfect opportunity to dump the motherlode on her, and leave Hillary smelling like a rose. Might even boost her support.
:(

I was saying this as soon as the FBI Announcement came down Friday. If you were voting for Hillary and had a pulse for the last 25 years, you already knew the Clinton's were criminally corrupt. If none of the other hundred scandals swayed your vote, then one more wasn't going to make a difference. I hoped I was wrong, but it appears I was not (Remember this was the same electorate the happily elected Black Jesus and Doofus Biden for two terms).

But isn’t this a tracking poll that doesn’t sample over the weekend? If so, it only reflects polling on Friday. The news story broke in the afternoon, so it would be limited, at best. Can anyone confirm their process?

Im a pessimist when it comes to electoral politics, but let’s just calm down here. Let’s wait until polls arrive that are taken a full 3 or 4 news cycles after the Comey story broke.

"The survey of 1,500 Likely Voters was conducted on October 26, 27 and 30, 2016 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology."

Rasmussen doesn't poll over weekends (now). Most of the poll was taken prior to the FBI bombshell.

(I *suspect* that last night's polling is every bit anomalous as Friday and Saturday evening polling -- as I expect tonight's poll will be -- since today is Halloween.)

Her base may not care but she cannot win on that alone.

>>>I find it hard to believe that Americans are indifferent to criminal behaviour.

I don't. Bill Clinton left office with high approval ratings. Large sections of this country have become a cesspool. This land needs a bath...and God is about to give it to us.

I find it hard to believe that Americans are indifferent to criminal behaviour.

It is hard to believe, but sadly for many American it is a reality they just passively live with. We are surrounded by street crime, white collar crime, a broken legal system, and monumental political malfeasance. Yet there is no outrage.

Rasmussen Reports updates its White House Watch survey daily Monday through Friday at 8:30 am Eastern based on a three-day rolling average of 1,500 Likely U.S. Voters. This survey is the first in which one of the nights follows FBI Director James Comey’s announcement on Friday that his agency is reopening the investigation of Clinton’s handling of classified information after the discovery of tens of thousands of previously unseen private e-mails.

Does Marion Barry,Alce Hastings,Bill Clinton and the list goes on ring a bell?

Clinton followers could care less if she slaughtered an entire family for sport.

They are as deranged as her .

This is either confirmation that we have pasted the point of return
in this country, bad polling data or too soon to tell.

I think It’s entirely possible, even likely, that most Hillary voters do not care if she is a criminal. In fact, that is probably a plus for many of them.

It was the weekend. Nobody’s paying attention yet.

It was the weekend BECAUSE that’s how Comey arranged it. He clearly did Hillary another favor.

NOTHING can make Hillary smell like a rose. :)
I'm looking for many RATS to desert the sinking ship this week. With Huma gone who will manage Hillary and keep her out of bars in the AM and shuttle her off to a private facility when she has her next breakdown? Bet the secret service will just cart her @ss off to a real hospital.

I am horrified at American voters. They could open up a penitentiary and at random find a more suitable president. Most criminals wouldn’t dare do the crap Clinton does.

Thanks Blessed. Then that confirms it. Since the story broke in the early afternoon, the impact of the FBI news is very limited at best in this survey. Heir storyline overstates the non-impact of the news on their polling.

We can’t get despondent. The only time in my life the press allowed us to know we were going to win was in 1984, and that was the day before the election. Reagan was about to win 49 states so they finally acknowledged he was ahead in USA Today. Up until then they said Mondale was surging.
