They called each other darling, dear one and heart. They told each other je taime and jadore, and wrote more than 3,000 letters to one another.
All day Ive thought of you . . . Oh! I want to put my arms around you, I ache to hold you close, the normally reserved Eleanor Roosevelt wrote in March 1933 to her beloved. No, not her husband, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, but a brilliant, bourbon-drinking, cigarette-smoking Associated Press reporter named Lorena Hickok, or Hick.
Their romance is at the center of Susan Quinns engrossing double biography, Eleanor and Hick: The Love Affair That Shaped a First Lady.
While Quinn is not the first to tell the tale of Eleanor and Hick, she brings new depth to their epic, three-decade-long love story.
Quinns book begins in 1932, shortly before Hick began covering Eleanor Roosevelt during FDRs presidential campaign. THE DAME HAS ENORMOUS DIGNITY, SHES A PERSON, she wired her boss, after observing Eleanors unease with the spotlight at that years Democratic convention.
Hick spent the following weeks as Eleanors appendage, Quinn writes, traveling on the campaign trail and earning her trust. (Eleanor told Hick that she never wanted to be a presidents wife, and I dont want it now.)
By the time FDR was inaugurated in 1933, the two women had fallen in love. The evening before FDR delivered his famous line about having nothing to fear but fear itself, Eleanor read it to her girlfriend. Hick had a singular scoop the presidents first speech but out of loyalty to the first lady, she let it go.

#6 Yes. See England and their gov’t and the BBC too!
Of course current washington with obama, Joe Biden, The Clintons, various congressman/women and all those short haired women running gov’t depts.
It is different with guys. But then, guys ARE different from women, although they can still have intense personal relationships with other guys which aren't sexual.
As a history buff, I will be sure to take a pass on this one.
Those were two ugly dykes. Although Eleanor was a switch hitter.
Wasn’t she a “news” reporter, too?
Nowadays they would say, "I ache to grab your p*****."
Yes——they hate Christianity and are trying to destroy (erase) Christian Ethics in our children since the Germans proclaimed “God is Dead” in the 1800s. They started literally programming us (through the Hollywood Satanists who are raping all the children, esp. boys) and in the indoctrination centers (publik skools) to “feel” good and evil, so they can literally erase Reason and Logic (human element) in our children, and establish Emotions to rule everyone (like cattle). They strip children OUT of the Natural Family so they are warped and bonded to the State (groups/peer pressure shapes emotions/desires).
The object is to be FREE of all moral laws——so the Elite can do whatever (esp. to children since Ba’al Rites demand orgies and sacrifices with children-—They are bringing back polygamy (invasion of irrational islam), sodomy, pederasty, incest, baby-sacrifice (killings), so they have to erase ALL biological connections, so children are so emotionally damaged and removed from Reality (NAtural Law/Family) that they will be as dumb as stumps and believe “Snow is Black” and boys are girls or whatever the State/TV programs them. No Common Sense (no understanding of Reality, Truth (God).....They are raised in Artificial Realities.....removed from loving moral role models (male/female/mother/father). It will be impossible for children to embed “normal” (Laws of Nature—our Constitution will not be understood).
They mean to establish a NWO-—a “utopia” where everyone is exactly alike—no identity separate from the “group”-—no ability to be an individiual—think for self-—it is all One Mind (total dehumanization (enslavement) of ALL people).
It is different with guys.

Yes, it would certainly raise more than a few eyebrows if two dudes with two gals were at the dinner table and the dudes got up hand in hand, giggling and excused themselves to go freshen up.
HOWSOMEVER, one can figure it is not all that far off, considering how far downhill we have come....
Just sliding down that razorblade of life.....<: <:
Beds were a bit smaller and families a bit larger a 100 years ago.
For guys, it’s usually an arm around the shoulder. Same gesture.
Sadly, Eleanor Roosevelt abandoned Lorena Hickok for a man. Lorena died alone and then was cremated, and her ashes sat on a funeral home storage shelf for twenty years before interment in an unmarked grave.
The wages of sin?
With their boots on or off? Drunken parties out in the country produce some unique experiences...other than sex! Lol!
Not all moral laws, just the "incorrect" ones based on Judeo/Christian ethic.
Da,! Where did you get a pic of my sis in law? The one on the right. lol
What was poor Eleanor to do? Franklin was carrying on with Lucy Mercer for decades.
Long answer=yes
Short answer=Yes
“And of course there was the time when Hillary was “channeling” Eleanor Roosevelt in the White House?”
More like Hillary was being possessed by a demon because she was foolish enough to think it was Eleanor Roosevelt.
Yes, and home space was at a premium. Two or three small bedrooms at the most were all the middle and lower class could afford (no one wanted a mortgage.)
For guys, its usually an arm around the shoulder. Same gesture.

Not in a restaurant.
Like going to the mens room.
Look straight ahead.
Do not speak unless a general statement towards the ‘crowd’
Speak rule waived if you know all in room.
Around shoulders and patting on ass reserved for athletic ventures IF you are a participant.
I am NOT receptive to hugs....hugs are only good if wanting to make sure the other dude aint packing (frisk)
Not homophobic, had a thing against ‘Aunt Sylvia’ hugging me also.
Get a kick out of the ‘old’ movies from the 30s & 40s where the two men or women talking about the gay party they went to or the statement ‘We had a gay time last night’
Etc etc etc
Two or three small rooms were not uncommon where I was raised. Our first home was a 20x20 four room with an outhouse, we lived in smaller rentals before that.
Notice how popular these new mini houses have become 600 sq feet and less is all the rage among Millennials Generation.
