Ann Coulter warned in her book Slander in 2003 that the far left main stream media always uses polls to push their agenda. Polls can be skewed by selecting an unreasonable sample size, by asking lead up questions or by selecting more of a sample population of one side of an issue to achieve a desired result.
Main stream media skews polls to discourage potential voters from voting and has done it for years.
A good example of the media trying to shape a vote was in 1980. In a Gallup poll released on October 26th in 1980, two weeks before the election, Jimmy Carter was leading Ronald Reagan 47 – 39. Two weeks later Reagan won in such a landslide that Carter conceded before California was closed.

I don’t believe any polls, but hope Trump wins. However, I fear Hillary will narrowly win with the help of massive voter fraud. God save our country if that were to happen.

Bill Mitchell brought up a great point. The polling outfits are now using more normal dem/rep averages but juicing the poll with the college educated/non college voter using 40-50% college voters when the truth is that only 25-30% of voters have a college degree.
Trump is killing it with non-degree voters, so this alone will swing a poll 10-15% away from Trump. It’s blatant but they get away with because everyone is looking at the dem/rep breakdown.

Saying DT is losing and he’s screaming about vote fraud to depress turnout.
Buying completely into the Democrat narrative.
At this point, I think the polls exist in large part to excuse the voter fraud. The Dems add in a secret 10% to the vote total and no one is surprised when she wins by 2 points, because “she was always ahead in the polls, right?”
The big question is: can they manage enough voter fraud? The task this year will be larger than in previous years.

I use statistics all the time, professionally, for formal experiments on medical devices. The resulting documents sometimes end up being submitted to the FDA. So I know my stuff.
When you do a “random” sampling (polling of likely voters) of a population (all potential likely voters), then later find out your sample was actually biased (lots more dems than pubs), you must throw the results out.
Do not pass go, do not hem and haw...whatever conclusions you draw are invalid. Any statistician would laugh you out of their office.
Goldberg is an interesting case. I really like his book "Liberal Fascism". It goes through a century of Progressive thought and really shows that they've always been fascists of the worst sort. The book is a powerful statement.
But after Obama got elected, Goldberg stopped connecting the dots and basically began mumbling, "I wasn't ... you know ... talking about ... Obama ... ahhhhhhh ... fine man ... loves his children ... and ... ummmm ... Donald Trump is ... ummmmmm .... bad."
Seems to me the final polls were closer than that.
Close enough that every Reagan supporter went to vote, not depressed by too-negative polls.
I still think the same thing will happen again, now 36 years later.
But it is getting a liiiiiiiiiiiiitle late in the game...
A good debate would help the Trump side.
The media have been becoming increasingly dishonest, over the past two generations—even as the breakdown of the family, the corruption of education, and other examples of social deterioration have become increasingly clear. The corruption of our cultural institutions is very evident—as is the need to elect the one candidate who refuses to be coerced by the politically correct bullies, who have silenced so many others.

I’m not sure they can get away with enough fraud to cover the turn out of voters for Trump. To his credit Fraud is already being uncovered. What the local Democrat fraudsters are risking is that if Trump is elected and cleans house, they’ll end up at as a subject of a Guiliani DOJ probe. MEaning they lose their cushy jobs and possibly their pensions.
The Clintonistas are asking them to bet the ranch by engaging in fraud.
