Ghana will move a statue of Mahatma Gandhi from its main university because of his "alleged past racist comments", the foreign ministry said, while paying tribute to Gandhi's role as a civil rights leader.
A group of lecturers and students began campaigning for the Indian nationalist leader's statue to be removed shortly after it was installed at the university in June as a symbol of friendship between Ghana and India. They argue that Gandhi made comments that were racist about Africans and that statues on the Accra campus should be of African heroes.
In a statement late on Thursday, the ministry said it was concerned by the acrimony the campaign had generated.

Or perhaps a monument to a successful African slave trader. Describe how the trader built a business through hard work and shrewd dealings. Talk about business development methods (raids on other tribes, enslavement of losing tribes, etc.) and the building of business facilities (slave holding pens and so on). Give the students someone successful that they can look up to!!
Just more of the rejection of American culture in favor of the alien and exotic. Ghandi appealed to the antiwar/eastern religion crowd in the 60s.
If Hillary wins, I think George Washington statues will be available on ebay for very little money. Certainly they won’t be wanted in our city squares any more ...

Gandhi was a racist. He went on a hunger strike to block black Indians, the untouchables, from getting the vote in the new constitution.
Indians society is still based on caste and blacks are still the lowest caste.

The scary thing is that Ghandi was relatively benign, but today Muslims are alien and exotic and the ones that the squares seem to hate the most.
This group is not benign and the fad now is to welcome them with open arms etc...

Good point. I believe this is the worst outcome of the much hyped "new world order" and "reset" prostituted by both political parties and the globalists. Not all people and cultures are equal, nor will they ever be. Zero's destruction of America as a superpower has lead to a power vacuum. America was once the shining light for the rest of the world to look upon and emulate. Now, the worst of the worst of mankind has lit the fire of human destruction and despair. During the cold war this was the intended effect of Soviet foreign policy. Putin now sees this opportunity as do China and Iran. In a different time, Obama and much of his rogue government would cease to breathe our air.
The Washington Monument will be torn down, along with the Jefferson Memorial. Will they leave the Lincoln Memorial standing? FDR Memorial will face no threats of destruction of course.
