Samsung will do anything to push sales, even deeming highly defective phones as "safe". As in, keep in a safe to protect your house from burning down, hopefully with no valuables inside the safe. iPhones are still safe next to the family jewels or your head. Samsung Galaxy Note 7, biggest phone disaster ever.
lithium Ion Batteries are not safe.
These phones cannot handle fast/rapid charging. the batteries get too hot too quickly in a very confined space without a heatsink, and the software controlling them is charging them at an over-fast dangerous rate. this is the issue with all li-ion batteries.
