Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) is predicting that congressional Republicans will be more willing to work with Hillary Clinton than they have been with President Obama, should she be elected president.
"She is a known commodity, and I think therell be more camaraderie in terms of working together, than there might have been in the early days of Obama," Isakson told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Isakson, who is running for reelection and has endorsed GOP nominee Donald Trump, added, "I dont think it will be like the post-Obama election at all."
Isakson's comments come as Clinton has narrowly trailed Trump in the typically red state, feeding Democrats hopes of expanding the electoral map. According a RealClearPolitics average of polls, the GOP presidential nominee is leading by less than 5 points.
The Georgia Republican isn't the only one who is open to collaborating with a hypothetical Clinton administration, even though multiple congressional committees are still probing her time atop the State Department.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Clinton would find a "willing partner" on immigration reform, bolstering the military and a Simpson-Bowles-type of initiative to improve federal spending, should she win.
"I can do two things at once. I can criticize and I can cooperate," he told The Hill last month. "I don't see that they're inconsistent."
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas)while stressing that he doesn't believe Clinton will win in Novembersaid Americans expect GOP senators to work with whoever is in the White House.
"We'll do our duty, you know regardless of who is president," the Senate's No. 2 Republican told The Hill last week. "The people we serve want us to to work together for their benefit so that's certainly my posture."
Cornyn declined to name specific issues that he believes he and Clinton could work well together on.

Question, how many spines does a Congress of Republicans have?
Answer: NONE
Each one of these should be expelled from the Republican Party. Each one of these a traitor to America. Each one of these should not get the vote of the first Patriot in their State. But I know that will never happen. Because Lindsey Graham is loved and adored by the Republicans in South Carolina. Likewise Johnny Isakson or Georgia, and John Cornyn of Texas.
Is that a signal that the fix is in for Hillary? Is this telling the Democrats and media to proceed full speed ahead with the plan to steal the election for Hillary? I would answer yes to both questions. Is this a message to the Dempocrat Party and media informing them that they not only will not oppose the stealing of the election for Hillary, but that they will aid and abet them at every opportunity. The only logical answer that can be drawn from it is yes.
She has FBI files on all of them, so of course they will work for her. I just don’t understand this at all- knowing how FBI gave her a pass, gave immmunities, destroyed laptop evidence and the GOPE will work with her. Blows my mind.
There is nothing wrong with Hillary except that she is still breathing.
It would be difficult but not impossible.
Or Bill Clinton’s.
Well, golly gee, these RINOs must certainly be open-minded and inclusive! Wonder if they will help her strip the 2A as they reach across the commie aisle?
In a fraction of a heartbeat.
I would expect Lamar! to be a leading figure in this group too. No thanks, TN!
Four words for Isakson: STFU
What state are you in? We have a few down-ballot Republicans worthy of support in TX.
I'm in Colorado. There are NO Republicans worthy of support here. Or in TX. Or in any other state, for that matter, which is why it wouldn't matter where I vote. Not a damned traitorous piece of garbage GOP will get my vote any where, ever again.
Why the hell do they say these stupid things?
Oh, yeah...”all in the Family.”
Never mind.
Emasculated pansies!
THey are all getting kickbacks from ObamaCARE and
ObamaTRADE under the table.
This is treason and rape of America by the EXEMPT GOP,
while they complicitly arm al QAEDA.
How is that possible? The Republicans NEVER opposed Obama.
“Disgusting. They’re already preemptively surrendering and she hasn’t even been elected.”
The establishment GOP supports Clinton. We are seeing this over and over again. And yet GOP incumbents - largely establishment - keep winning primaries.
If we want to save the Republic, much much more is needed. A good start would be an exodus from the government school system.
Any of these jerks up for re-election?
We might as well have Democrats there. At least we'd know what to expect!
'Americans' of the Liberal/Democratic stripe do; but we Republican/Conservatives EXPECT GOP senators to go AGAINST Liberal/Democratic 'values' and goals!
