The Federal Aviation Administration and the Obama Transportation Department today were smacked with a class action race discrimination lawsuit for systematically purging highly qualified air traffic controller candidates from consideration in order to increase diversity.
Mountain States Legal Foundation president William Perry Pendley, whose group filed the lawsuit, said in a statement that, In abandoning years of hiring the most qualified and adopting a test that is the epitome of psychobabble, the FAA told our clients their skills are less important than their race and the public that its racial agenda is more important than aircraft safety.
The lawsuit alleges violations of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Fifth Amendment due process clause. It seeks to represent the estimated 2000-3000 people who were purged from a long used hiring list, based on rigorous testing and graduation from specially certified aviation programs, in order to get more diverse applicants.

We need to stop calling it reverse discrimination and simply say racial discrimination against whites. Saying reverse implies whites are normally the aggressors, whereas discrimination against whites is more neutral.
The one place not to fool around with social engineering is air traffic control, engine mechanics, and pilots.
The other, of course, is the military.

The entire government is guilty of this.
Federal employees have the cushiest, featherbed jobs. In general, they do less work and make more money.
Blacks comprise some 17% of Federal employees while they make up only 13% of the population. Clearly a case of racism.

In government hiring, there are certain criteria to meet:
1) race
2) gender
3) sexual orientation
4) party affiliation
5) whether you are actually competent to do the job.
If you’re a straight, caucasian male Republican, they hired you because nobody in the first four categories applied for the job.
The last thing I want is a controller who scored the lowest on the test and hired for diversity. Karma would be that controller ran 0bozo’s plane

wouldn’t this go against the FAA’s charter? The agency was created for safety and any change is supposed to enhance safety, it is doubtful this action is consistent with it.
My copy of Article 1 Section does not include a power to have a “Federal Aviation Administration.”
If we need one, let’s try a private organization similar to the electronic industries IEEE.
If it needs to be Federal, pass an Amendment. As is required by the Constitution.
