Using it now. Setting up is pretty easy...sort of like Chrome in the way it is laid out. We’ll see how it goes.

I’ve read there’s something called an underground web?

You may even see the return of Telnet, Archie, Gopher, FTP,and Usenet. Maybe even a mass-exodus to the Deep Web, and a massive spike in using bitTorrent.

I wouldn't be surprised if old style dial-up BBS' made a return at some point. Granted, they'd have some form of "rotating phone number" that wouldn't be traceable and require a custom dialer to locate those BBS' and connect to them.

It's going to get very interesting going forward once ICANN is under Chinese, NK and Middle East control.....

I see ICANN/UN meeting up with Mr. Trump once he gets in the White House to resolve the issue.

[[There’s also Freenet,FreeSpeechMe.com,and MaidSafe, all of which used dispersed storage, and are censor-proof, and don’t keep records of who uses them]

“What’s going to happen to those sites if CONGRESS betrays us today and gives the INTERNET to the world?”

They will operate independently of any government body. It won’t be possible to shut them down unless all telecommunications are also shut down.

Well when the UN has control I don’t know. The reports say once it’s handed over by 0b0z0 it’s irreversible.

Heard on my morning local talk radio show today that this effort is really anti-governments effort, there has been a condition set that ICANN be “transparent”, and that this will all be a big nothing burger come tomorrow.

I think you are right, BG. Trump is a listener and will straighten out whatever needs to be fixed with America’s best interests at heart.

Just as I was sayin'

Encryption is your friend.

Can't stop the signal.

You could create a separate internet using nothing buy those cheap burner-phones you get at walmart for 10 bux.

Gut the sofware, put in 64GB SD cards, use strong crypto....unstoppable internet...run your own name servers

World-class geeks with cheap but powerful hardware can work miracles.

You could even have a 2nd local-network by using the software defined radios in the cheap phones many people alter those powerful radio systems...this would mean those in outlying areas without a connection could be on the web easily...the Gov modifies smart-phones to operate slightly out-of-band to enable their use as encrypted sat phones.

Maybe we should use this idea to create an emergency backup for FR? 300 users with the modified phones would do it i'd say.

I think it’s based on Chrome. Had a little trouble getting to FR. Had to use google and then click on a link there - it kept re-directing me when I tried to directly type in the URL.

Looks like they don’t have the micropay set up yet.

I went to some ad-heavy sites, and it was a lot faster.

I wish more people had paid attention.

But ... I hope I’m wrong.

Doubt it.

Of course there will be no immediate change, and the drones will taunt my fellow patriots as ‘fearmongers’.
