NEW YORK (AP) -- Donald Trump says he took the moral high ground at the first presidential debate by not mentioning the infidelities of former President Bill Clinton. But he hinted at them, talked about them immediately afterward and then sent his campaign's top backers out to do the same.
"An impeachment for lying," Trump said Thursday at a campaign rally in New Hampshire, referring to the effort to remove Bill Clinton from office for lying about his affair with Monica Lewinsky. "Remember that? Impeach."
The Republican nominee's decision to dredge up the former president's sexual history is a risky move in his campaign against Democrat Hillary Clinton, whose own team isn't fazed by the attack line. Trump critics say it could backfire, elevating her in the eyes of female voters and motivating her base.

it’s important to bring up Bill’s history, but Trump has to make clear the rationale is because HIllary has promised Bill will have a very prominent role in her presidency plans.
And when bringing up Hillary’s involvement, he needs to put emphasis on the slut-shaming team she engineered to go after the women - taking the ‘grief’ she suffered over Bill’s infidelities way to far over the edge by publically attacking the women instead of keeping her problems private.
Trump needs to concentrate on HILLARY, not Bill Clinton.
It isn’t as if she hasn’t given him lots of fodder to work with.
It is easy for Hillary to justify this. To attack Bill is to attack her path to power.
Putting Hillary in power “does more” for “the movement” than any harm done to a few dozen women by Bill.

Trump campaign, please take note. BILL CLINTON IS NOT ON THE BALLOT. He's just a broken-down old pervert, and there are a lot of voters who don't even remember when he was in office anyway. The only relevance this story has to the 2016 presidential campaign is the part of the story that illustrates Hillary Clinton's pathological, diabolical character.
He now has to "put on the show" for people who have never even heard of FreeRepublic, and really don't give a sh!t about most of the things that dominate our threads here. If he doesn't do this, he'll be a loser in November.

When Hillary brings up donald not paying taxes, he should throw this in her face: Well, you and Bill don’t have a problem with someone not paying taxes afterall your husband pardoned Marc Rich, convicted tax evader. So what is that all about Hillary? That is what Trump should use.

..... Bill is an indirect target that would be a waste of time at this point trying to educate people about any of those matters .... However ... Targeting HER involvement in being in charge of destroying the lives of his Bimbos would have much more traction and needs to be done .... But I have to admit that kind of stuff should be reserved for his more articulate surrogates to get the word out. A wrongly place word by Trump at this point in time could drag him into the weeds when there is so little time left before the election.
This is a really difficult needle to thread. Tip toeing through minefield. At some point Trump needs to promote a positive optometrist outlook.
