Hillary Clinton has been declared the winner of the most watched debate ever by the bulk of the media, but they may be once again demonstrating their failure to understand what makes Donald Trump voters tick and why his fans think he came out on top, according to political analysts.
Clinton and Trump are talking to two very different countries, and political analysts and reporters are generally in the country Clinton, not Trump, inhabits. wrote Larry Sabato, the author of Sabatos Crystal Ball and a political science professor at the University of Virginia.
Sabato, elaborating in comments to the Herald, pointed to a startling divide between college-educated and non-college-educated voters. Clinton leads with white college grads a first for a Democrat in modern times, said Sabato. Yet Trump has an enormous majority among blue-collar workers, particularly men, he added....

The media picked Hillary as the winner? They would have picked her even is she didn’t show up.
She could’ve had a grand mal seizure and they’d say Trump caused it.
Once again, the Dems are playing identity politics, the only game they know, and not even identifying the players that well.
The guy who worked all his Life building and employing thousands of People and who will never Retire even though he is filthy Rich is liked by Working Class People.
The Woman who has lived on the Government Payroll her whole life and now makes money making Speeches about NOTHING to sycophantic audiences is loved by Highly Educated Elitists who look at the Little People as Pets to be taken care of.
Working Class Trump Supporters = Irredeemable Deplorables.
I think that’s a great description of Hilary Clinton. It’s a D&D monster.
Eye of the beholder
They are deluding themselves. This is good.
#TrumpWon was trending all day on Twitter and Trump beat Hillary in every poll you can find on the internet.
All they have is one non scientific CNN poll and a Luntz focus group that in the primaries crowned Rubio the winner of every debate.
Trump won all the online polls during the primaries as well. I’m sure that meant nothing. This is like the primaries all over again.
I’m not a pollyanna and I’m not in love with Trump.
But really, huge win for Hillary, terrible performance from Trump? I don’t see it.
I certainly don’t see it as a big victory for Trump either but he did fine, C+. It was his first one on one debate ever.
We’ll see what polls say a few days from now, that’s how you tell what impact it had, not instapolls and not spin from beltway people.
Yep, and that is great news considering Trump easily won the nomination. Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
Professor, Larry Sabato, has clearly and asutely defined the facts that using outdated and past political demographic, models is, at the end of the day, a waste of time. While Sabato...cannot put his exact finger on it....no one can, at this moment....he clearly understands and recognizes a movement, unseen is afoot, alive and well, and moving forward towards a likely, if not actual victory of the POTUS by Donald J. Trump!!!
IMHO.......I also believe the Clinton/Obama driven media is “Lost At Sea”, and will be stunned, beyond belief...when DJT wins the POTUS, and the voting demographics are fully received. Trump will massively win gruops, Democrats never, ever dreamt, he could possibly gain!!! Stay tuned, the American media, is about to take a fall of epic proportions!!! “Sabato” cannot yet wrap up the product...but he is certainly wrapping the package, that will come forth after election day!!! The DJT Movement is on the march to victory, and will arrive there, and Professor, Sabato, will continue, unabated as the political Messiah of the pack!!! Stay tuned, and watch a strategic guru at work!!!
Can you believe the questions that were asked?
So many attack questions to Trump...none to his opponent.
Today I prayed that people could see that Hillary obviously was not trusted to receive any hard questions.
REALLY? Ask Trump about his tax returns...and not ask Hillary about her scandals?
Ask Trump about something he said about Hillary...about her not looking presidential...and then giving Hillary a chance to lift herself up? That seemed so rigged...and planned...like she had the question before hand.
What about asking Hillary about negative things she has said about Trump and letting him respond?
Her "popularity" with black voters seems overstated. This photo is in Watts.
Hillary doubled down on her I Won theme. Her ilk thinks politics is war by other means. What’s a little fictitious mud thrown at the wall if some of it happens to stick?
Actually, media brainwashing to “overlook the forest of the trees.”
No question on the “healthcare” extortion.
No question on The Wall.
No question on the the number one lobbyist: Saudi Arabia
No questions on Education, real education, corruption of the school agenda.
North Carolina
All of the above top 5 effecting U.S. CITIZENS (not “Americans” the speak used)
The debate was used as deflection.
The public is on to this, and is a win for Trump if they continue the deflections
Today’s proclamations of a resounding Hillary win are intended for those who didn’t watch the debate.
I was hoping for a knockout by Trump and was really disappointed with some of his meandering thoughts and inordinate/repetitive focus on China/Japan “stealing jobs” when he could have talked about Hillary’s influence peddling.
We saw a different Donald last night and I had the idea that maybe he’s got a soft spot for women and debates differently with women. So maybe he was coached to not go too hard on “the woman” he’s running against in the first debate.
Think about how caring he is to the women in his life... He does have a soft spot for women (certainly not Hillary), but he’s not used to debating one-on-one in this male-female dynamic — where he could be accused of bullying a “poor me” woman.
But I think he’ll get up to speed and resolve it and win in the end.
Not two countries, two kinds of people; politicians and Americans.
I always like reading your posts but in this case have a question for you:
In your disappointment, can you also see how at this debate, it was unfairly “moderated” if you can call it “moderated” since it didn’t seem moderated at all but seemed like the moderator was also a debator for Hillary? There was one point in this debate where Mr. Trump answered so articulately that I said to myself Trump just won the presidency, (Even though he had to deal with all the attack questions AND mostly be LAST to be given the chance to answer...except of course when it benefitted Hillary to answer second)...The democrats very carefully planned each question and who would be asked first. Did you notice that? Bless you sir for your great insight and love of this country that I have seen in all the posts I’ve read that you wrote.
I will keep posting this idea: Trump should be able to have a moderator moderate the moderators. That would be fair since they are all democrats. That way if the moderators involve themselves in any way....whether by inserting their OPINIONS in their QUESTIONS or by NOT asking the same hard question to Hillary...then the moderator of the moderator jumps in JUST AS A JUDGE does in court and says OBJECTION!!!!!
PLEASE pass this idea on to Mr. Trump if you have connections. THANK YOU!
OOPS I meant my last post to go to you 2ndDivisionVet
Right! Hope you can submit your questions for the next debate!
