That is truly amazing. I don’t know if Slate had this up the whole time, but right now they have a secondary title line “Vote in our totally unscientific online poll.” They must be very unhappy with the results.

I thought the debate was good entertainment but I didn’t think it would change anyone’s vote. I guess you could say Hillary won because she didn’t collapse on stage. She also just offered up stale solutions and policies from the past, nothing new. That’s not going to fly with the voters this year.

I’m pleasantly surprised by these polls this morning. I’ve said that I think Trump will win by 55% to 45%. These polls tent to reflect that.

My take-away as well. She attacked him personally with a smirky, giggly, supercilious look on her face. She didn’t come off as a nice person, and in fact magnified her worst feature — her nasty personality.

A couple of key points:

1. Trump did not really go after Hillary for her personal failings, but she went after him. Given that everyone knows he can be brutal on people opposed to him he demonstrated a great deal of forbearance and Hillary just came off as vindictive - the thing we all fear about Hillary.

2. Trump stayed away from the email issue. You can bet she had a very very polished rehearsed answer for that whole thing. It would have been the thing she practiced most. Never came up. And so everyone is bringing it up where she cannot respond. It’s the art of elegance actually - leaving unsaid that which need not be said.

Most exciting political debate I ever heard in my life. Even Hillary was exciting with her vicious attempts at character assassination.

I think Trump won, but his debate coach stripped him of any comfort zone.

I wished he would have responded, when she said that he didn’t practice for the debate and came unprepared, that when decisions as a president have to be made, there’s no “practicing.”

Hillary had the standard "I made a mistake but I take responsibility"...... typical liberal con job.

Trump came back strong: "that was no mistake....your aides had to take the fifth to prevent being prosecuted."

Course left unsaid as that the fix was in: Comey handed out immunity deals like a pedophile handing out candy at a Boy Scout Jamboree.

Mark Cuban is mad cause Trump did not pick him for VP pure and simple. Says he independant but that is a lie, he liberal BIG TIME! I really thought that, given the state of society today, Trump's less than characteristic performance, and the fact that Hillary remained standing to the end, gave the debate to her.

Perhaps - but now she's got to hammer the campaign trail HARD before the next debate - or Trump gets to remind people every day that she has NO "stamina"...

I’m thinking that if Trump had delivered the knockout punch in the first debate, he would get a good spike, but too much time to hold it. This way, he can destroy her in the last debate, with no time for Hillary to recover. Hillary was terrible anyway. NO ideas, just tax, spend, and name calling. It was almost as if she wasn’t even there, which may indeed have been her game plan lol.
