Beck took Cruz's call a few minutes ago. Cruz sounded rational.
Delusional
Sorry, Ted’s colors poured out for all to see, IF one cared to listen.
Anti establishment? Pfft, that’s a knee slapper
This had to be one of the greatest high tension moments in radio history. Beck and his stooges met the US political reality today (Cruz needs money and political allies) and lost their minds. What a bunch of naive bubble boys. Then Glenn got all choked up about him (and the stooges) being the only defender of the constitution. Said GD once on air and he could barely get thru his commercial spots for gold and blinds between his quivering voice and sighs due to his new found reality. Now he is back to slamming Trump. I wonder if he cares more about the constitution or the sound of all his Mercury One millions going done the old porcelain bowl.
Does that mean my mother lied to me?
I still think Cruz would make a better president, but I will vote for Trump. I would vote for a sock puppet over hillary. I would vote for a rotten potato before I would vote for hillary.
Excellent summary. I agree. The sad aspect is that Glenn has committed to losing his network and power by constantly supporting the election of Hillary accomplished by Trump voters staying home and losing enthusiasm.

This is just BS. Howard W. Hunter was a past president of the Mormon Church and his father never joined the church. Hunter was considered a convert even though his mother was a member.
Nearly a third of the church membership is made up of converts. They pick their leaders from everybody. It is true that brand new members are not as likely to be leaders but after one generation you have learned as much as anybody else about the church so you are good to go.
I doubt that Beck wants to be a leader, they don't get paid and I think Beck really likes money.
Did they have a good cWry.. Followed by a group hug?
“...Cruzs endorsement for Trump was really solid..”
What? When did this happen? He has not come out to support Trump.

Cruz endorsement of Trump...
Also several threads on FR a few days back. Just search Cruz
WHOA Nellie. That was the OLD Glenn Beck. We all appreciated the “blackboard” Beck.
THEN, he lost the rest of his marbles. He went round the bend, and never came back.
He has been, throughout this campaign, OFF HIS ROCKER!
I used to LOVE the blackboard guy. He had his “quirks” to be sure, but had good info.
Then about the time he left Fox he left the planet.
I didn’t hear it but thanks for posting this info, I’ll look for it. I’d like to know what Cruz said. I wonder if Ted realizes that Glenn and his prophetic circus was a big part of his loss.
Cruz has shown himself unable to make any deal with any person or group. And the truth is, you have to form consensus even in your own group. Ted simply hasn’t been able to.
He would not make a good president.
He has no CEO leadership experience.
He has only once briefly had to meet a bottom line.
He says things and then doubles back.
You can’t take him seriously.
I see him as a closet globalist. His wife’s work with the Council on Foreign Relations, his support for significantly increasing the H1-B Visas, his vote for the TPA, his activity in the Bush administration discussing talking points about how to deflect on the issues of illegal immigration...
Ted fooled a lot of people. He still could fool enough.
“He (Cruz) has not come out to support Trump.”
That’s right Sarge.
One day after Cruz found himself unable to use Trump’s name in endorsing him, Cruz isn’t sure if Trump is fit to serve as president.
Those darned facts continue to trip-up Cruz and his supporters.
And therein lies the reason why I don’t give Tead much credit for his endorsement.
It was quietly given at a time when very few people were watching.
He can now claim he endorsed Trump, with as little down side as possible for him. And that’s what it’s all about. Him.
Tead wants to be a viable candidate down the road.
He’ll not be getting support from me.

...After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience,
I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.
Ive made this decision for two reasons. First, last year, I promised to support the
Republican nominee. And I intend to keep my word......
Our country is in crisis. Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and
her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing
standing in her way.
A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican nominee, and I am honoring that
commitment. And if you dont want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage
you to vote for him.
Yes he was. I was a big Cruz supporter but when it was announced that Beck was backing him and was going to campaign for him I immediately knew it was the beginning of the end for Ted.
I said so at the time and sure enough Ted went strait down hill from that point.
One thing my wife and I have noted, and makes me think that Ted Cruz might be a sociopath, is his apparent complete disregard for the children, except to use them as stage props when running a campaign.
He has lived apart from his kids for almost his entire career in the Senate. His wife lived is a separate city for much of the time he was still in Texas. For most folks once you have kids it is sort of a reset on priorities. This seems to not have occurred with Rafael (Ted), though of course it is not definitive, it is the easiest answer as to why he has followed the path he has regarding his separation with his kids:
He simply does not really care about them or his wife, what he wants (power) is far more important.
Second is Cruz’s apparent inability to not lie. He has a problem with telling the truth or at the very least reframing every issue sufficiently that a neutral person would say it is an untruth. That is also a characteristic of sociopaths, they can convince themselves that the narrative is reality and ignore things that disagree with that (such as cold stone facts)
Third is his inability to judge folks emotional reactions. Much of his attempts to emotionally connect come off as wrong, like an act. The one sociopath I did know was like that as well, they could be superficially charming, but it was all an act and after a while you could see it. The key was to see how every incident or action was presented by the individual in a manner to help themselves towards their goal, never was there anything that occurred that did not try to spin to his advantage, even when it resulted in folks scratching their head. Rafael Edward Cruz comes across very similar.
Of course it is not definitive, but there are a lot of folks to be selected for high office. Ted Cruz has some defects of character at the very least. Not the kind of guy I would consider for President or any leadership position.
“he personally endorses the most sleazy products of all of them combined”
That and all of the times he begged his audience to send him money for one cause or another that he set up. I always wondered if the money went for the cause or into his pocket. I wish my local station would replace him with another conservative talk show. I sure miss Tony Snow! I loved him.
