In recent years, Republicans have made inroads into the overwhelmingly Democratic constituency of American Jews. But this year, Republican Jews — or Jewish donors to the Republican party, at least — are abandoning their party’s nominee at a stunningly high rate.
In 2012, 71 percent of the $160 million that Jewish donors gave to the two major-party nominees went to President Obama’s re-election campaign; 29 percent went to Mitt Romney’s campaign, according to our analysis of campaign contributors, which used a predictive model to estimate which donors are Jewish based on their names and other characteristics. This ratio of support mirrors how Jewish voters cast their ballots in 2012.
So far in 2016, of all the money given to major-party candidates by donors who appear to be Jewish, 95 percent has gone to Hillary Clinton and just 5 percent has gone to Donald Trump.

Smells like propaganda.
I have several Jewish friends, and they have many other Jewish friends whom I have met but don’t know well. Many of them are very wealthy and politically active. They all despise ILLary and actively support Trump.
But I’m in Texas, so maybe my experience is not the norm.
Trump has gone way out on a limb for us, saying he will send the “refugees” back home. Who will the terrorists among them attack, if given a preference? Christians and Jews.
Doesn’t make sense to me that Jews are not rushing to his corner.

Because of Trump’s unusual campaign financing and his partnership with the RNC, the facts of any big donor’s money to Trump won’t be known until after the election is over.
Most Jewish donors in politics spend their money in superPACs rather than directly to campaigns anyway.
Jews may feel more secure when they are just one more ethnic group in a multicultural country.

As I’ve said before, one look at the voting patterns of Jewish voters in the presidential elections over the last 40 years would lead me to conclude that they are collectively a bunch of mentally retarded voters.
I think you are on to something there. How would they have learned nationalism if they hadn’t had one. But one would have thought that with the war victory brought to us by the stewardship of FDR and cleaned up by Trueman, the creation of their own ancestral lands as their new homeland would have counted for something.
Maybe it is because they didn’t have to do the heavy lifting for that creation although giving all due respect for those who served. Maybe they were actually strains of the Communist Jews who fled here? It is very perplexing.

Keep in mind that compared to the U.S., Israel is a den of Marxism. So when I hear that someone is “strongly pro-Israel,” I give them the same credibility that I would have given to someone who was a strong supporter of East Germany during the Cold War.

I’m not in the know in any way, but I’m thinking he’s holding back until Oct. 8, and then bombard the country with the best ads ever. And he needs to set aside a ton of money to combat the “October Surprise” that is sure to hit him at the last minute.
How far before the election did the Swiftboat ads begin? IIRC, maybe it was just a couple weeks — and they were effective.
Do donors matter this year? Is Trump going hat in hand to them? No and No. Trump does not need their money and is not going around doing traditional fundraisers. Clinton is spending 50+ to 1 against Trump and is barely holding even with him. Were Trump to even the spending, would it really make any difference? I personally do not think so and appreciate the independence Trump has because he not out begging money from traditional donors.
Makes sense, Dems are the Fascist Party that wants to enslave them, and given their history of siding with people that will annihilate them over people that will protect them...nothing new here.
Trump is a nationalist. His motto is "Make America Great". He doesn't appear to be into multiculturalism. This makes many Jews nervous.
