A new lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court accused actor and comedian Jim Carrey of attempting to “conceal and obfuscate his involvement and culpability” in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, 30, who died last year from a drug overdose.
According to the suit, filed by White’s estranged husband, Mark Burton, the actor “wrongfully and illegally” obtained the deadly opioids under the bogus name “Arthur King” and gave them to White. Additionally, Burton claimed, the comedian and his assistant failed to notify authorities of a possible overdose, even though he had White’s property under surveillance and the assistant had allegedly noticed White’s failure to emerge from the home for “well over a day.”

What a waste.
But he doesn’t own guns so his home is safe.
Always found him kind of creepy. The over-affect didn’t work for me.
I think Carrey is one of the great physical comedians of the last 40 years. Should have been a successor to Keaton, Lewis and the others. His work on the mask was unbelievable. Hard to tell where he ended and the special effects began. His facial contortions made his impressions the best after Frank Gorshen retired.
Somewhere along The Truman Show he decided her had to be a serious actor and I don’t know much about his personal life. He sure got off track career wise. I never expect these people to be conservative, but I cannot watch him now without thinking he’s very disturbed.
His clip at the AFI award for Meryl Streep is a classic. I have watched it a dozen times and still laugh out loud.

I enjoyed his physical comedy too. But his admitted wacko-liberalism turned me off. I can’t separate the artist from their politics. At least in this case.
It got to me too. Pity
Wow. I hadn’t hear anything about all of this. If he’s also a longtime opioid addict, it might explain why he hasn’t been worth watching for some 15 years or more.
Those are some serious charges, if any of them are true.
