After Birth (Snopes blames Free Republic for birther movement)
Snopes ^ | 9/16/2016 | David Emery

CLAIM: Hillary Clinton and/or members of her 2008 presidential campaign started the "birther" movement questioning whether Barack Obama was born in the U.S.

FALSE ORIGIN:On 16 September 2016, after years of being the most visible and outspoken exponent of "birtherism" — the notion that, despite all evidence to the contrary, Barack Obama was born outside the U.S. and thus his presidency is illegitimate and his allegiances suspect — GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump stepped up to the podium at a televised campaign event and completely reversed his stance on the matter — but not before trying to lay blame for the long, drawn-out smear campaign on someone else.

Hey FARS! Snopes has tracked you down and says this ‘birther’ stuff is all your fault!

“The likeliest point of origin we’ve been able to find was a post on conservative message board FreeRepublic.com dated 1 March 2008 (which, according to a report in The Telegraph, was at least a month before Clinton supporters got on the e-mail bandwagon):

“after years of being the most visible and outspoken exponent of “birtherism” “

LIE!

Anybody who knows about this issue knows who, no doubt about it, by a landslide, was “the most visible and outspoken exponent of “birtherism” was Orly Taitz.

I would change the word “exponent” to something more like “investigator”.

Should end use of snopes by any Freeper. The history of snopes is quite liberal.

If one considers taking a glance at recent history, the timing of the release of damning information regarding Obama's history suggests Hillary's motive.

I still have had long time Freepers try to use it as a valid source. Laughable at the least! Trolls most likely.

Why anyone would believe that snopes is some fountain of truth is beyond stupid.

So who has vetted Snopes and decided they are the arbiters of what’s right and wrong?

What will the blaming be like in a couple of years when the records are released finally?

Why are being defensive about it? That the Left proclaims the truth is not to be accepted or their lies to be questioned does not change the nature of the truth or of the lies.

Free Republic.com. Snopes is a Left wing organization. It is the cause, not the truth, that matters.

It wasn’t “doctored.” It was wholly forged. It was created out of something else.

This is such bunk. I wasn't interested in politics until it looked like Obama was going to get the nomination. And then I started to become involved in researching his extremely unusual history.

I found Texasdarlin's blog and the PUMA people and worked with them before I found FreeRepublic. They were hardcore pushing this story and research.

FreeRepublic had nothing to do with what they were doing until later in the process when info. started being shared. It was absolutely the Clinton supporters that started the Birther movement.

“And nobody knows what he claimed on his college and law school applications.)”

...and said little manure pile runs for the highest office in the land and wins?

WTH does that say about the country, and the people who made it happen?

It’s FARS fault! Cheers!

LOL, this is priceless. FR beat Hellary to the punch.

Not so fair and balanced FOX was still blaming Trump early this morning. Accidentally surfed onto it so quickly clicked off.
