FALSE ORIGIN:On 16 September 2016, after years of being the most visible and outspoken exponent of "birtherism" — the notion that, despite all evidence to the contrary, Barack Obama was born outside the U.S. and thus his presidency is illegitimate and his allegiances suspect — GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump stepped up to the podium at a televised campaign event and completely reversed his stance on the matter — but not before trying to lay blame for the long, drawn-out smear campaign on someone else.

Anybody who knows about this issue knows who, no doubt about it, by a landslide, was “the most visible and outspoken exponent of “birtherism” was Orly Taitz.
I would change the word “exponent” to something more like “investigator”.
Should end use of snopes by any Freeper. The history of snopes is quite liberal.

Hussein himself claimed he was born in Kenya in that book.
Why are being defensive about it? That the Left proclaims the truth is not to be accepted or their lies to be questioned does not change the nature of the truth or of the lies.

It wasn’t “doctored.” It was wholly forged. It was created out of something else.
I found Texasdarlin's blog and the PUMA people and worked with them before I found FreeRepublic. They were hardcore pushing this story and research.
FreeRepublic had nothing to do with what they were doing until later in the process when info. started being shared. It was absolutely the Clinton supporters that started the Birther movement.
