While Ginger is out riding, a thunderstorm breaks, she seeks shelter in a bandstand, meets Fred, and their conversation about clouds and rain turns into a song and dance. Note how Ginger signals her change of attitude about Fred during the number.

Fred’s sartorial style in this scene changed the way men dressed in the Thirties. It was similar to Clark Gable’s decision not to wear an undershirt in 1934's “It Happened One Night,” which caused undershirt sales to plummet.
