The Environmental Protection is admitting to a spill from a treatment plant it set up after it dumped 3 million gallons of toxic wastewater into a Colorado river last year.
The EPA said Thursday night that the spill happened on Tuesday, and officials are still attempting to determine how much and what metals were contained in the sludgy discharge,
...
The Navajo Nation sued the agency over the spill last week after the EPA inspector general and the Justice Department opened a criminal investigation into the incident a few days before the Aug. 5 anniversary of the 2015 spill. The Navajo argue in their lawsuit that the spill significantly harmed the tribe's primary source of revenue from crops and other agricultural products.

Is it the weed?
Let’s see some jail time here .... from the Director on down to the puke who opened the spillway!!!!
***harmed the tribe’s primary source of revenue from crops and other agricultural products.***
When I was there the primary source of water for their agri industry was from Cutter Dam on the San Juan River east of Bloomfield, way before the Animas joins the San Juan.
Criminal EPA but nobody jailed.
The EPA polluted an area the size of a State with toxic heavy metals. People are dying. All for better job security.
The effected States should together have meetings and trials and have a public hanging of massive EPA folks. Govt Safety groups are hurting our children. That is what they do.
The simple solution is to cut their budget to 20% of what it is today, to sharply reduce the number of “field trips” for these idiots.
Fedgov needs its jurisdiction back to the dc limits. Let them regulate each other to death within the dc borders.
“Lets see some jail time here .... from the Director on down to the puke who opened the spillway!!!!”
Don’t hold your breath on that...
I prefer the old 80%/20% rule. Cut 80% and watch ‘em become like ants under the beam of sunshine focused on them by a strong magnifying glass in a clear day in the dog days of summer!!!
If private enterprise did this, the EPA would be all over them like white on rice. BUT, when a government entity does something that potentially is a massive harm to the environment, all the do-gooder interest groups have nada to say.
Two events in a short period of time, the EPA would probably shut down a member of private enterprise.
An Agenda 21 setup?
(Think fast and furious for gun control)
You’d think that these EPA worry warts would at least have been almost infinitely careful (at almost infinite expense). That’s what they have, er, trumped themselves up to be.
They weren’t, and now they are going around acting like the king can do no wrong. Full of themselves.
Regulator, regulate yourself!
When they were nannies, they were bad enough of a burden to private enterprise, but now that they are presuming to be agents, they are insufferable.

It was probably careless, but unintentional.

Of course, it could be anything. But I always think of something I heard on radio by a long-time blackops guy:
He said that Oregon murder/dust up was ordered by the regime -— for the purpose of DISTRACTING ATTENTION.
So you gotta wonder, WHAT are they trying to DISTRACT ATTENTION from THIS time.
In this case they will form a blue ribbon committee to carefully investigate the accident and determine that we need more laws and more bureaucracy to make sure this never happens again..
