(CNN) — Mayors do not have the right to ban burkinis, France's highest administrative court ruled Friday.
The Council of State's ruling suspends a ban in the town of Villeneuve-Loubet, near Nice, and could affect cities around the country that have prohibited the full-length swimsuit.

It was a stupid ban, imo.
Having police telling women to remove them, or giving tickets was just silly.
Let them wear what they want, as long as they are required to reveal their face when it comes to photo ID and other security stuff.
Other than that, I don’t know why anyone cares what they wear.

I’d pretty much agree. For about half of French beaches.....you can walk around with nothing on. No one gets hyped up over that.

Well I’ll tell ya. Some of the extra long foliage I’ve seen hanging out of some womens swim suits is a sight not to be seen. Maybe the burkini is the way to go for some.

Someone posted that they think they’ll try to outlaw bikinis in a few years, to appease the Islamic among us.
Boy are we headed into a bleak future.
If that kind of thinking catches on, watch U. S. women be demanded to wear veils and burkas so as not to offend.
