Hillary Clinton has called Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards to discuss the state's devastating flooding and says the state's relief effort, "can't afford any distractions."

Clinton's campaign released the post on the same day that Republican Donald Trump and his running mate Mike Pence traveled to Louisiana to inspect the flood damage.

OH MY GOSH!!! She picked up the phone and called the Governor?! ALL that effort, the dialing and talking, maybe some listening... it’s just incredible!
The people of Louisiana are just sooooooooo lucky. Clearly she has their back. When SHTF, count on HRC to make a phone call.

I have been looking for mention of donating relief supplies and except for 2 posts on FR,of which this is one, there has been no mention of this.

If Hillary went down there, in order to survey the damage and talk to the people, she would have to navigate her way through some pretty tough terrain left behind by the flood damage. She knows she could never handle it. As a result she has no choice but to literally "phone it in."
I am surprised Hillary didn’t go down there. She could have stole more emergency aid money.

President Bush diverts route of Air Force One to do a visual reconnaissance but does not land out of consideration for the disruption it will cause. Dems: What a cold hearted unfeeling SOB.
Hiliary and “Links” Obama decide to call it in. Dems: How considerate not to go there a cause a disruption.
My feeling is that the people of Louisiana will remember who showed up and who didn’t.
Trump and Pence show up in person, then and only then does Hillary Clinton bother to call.

She’s probably too physically frail to visit any disaster areas now or in the future. It would take too much stamina. She can only “call it in”.
I knew there was no way she was going to go down there and walk around because she might stumble or need to be propped up. Not fit to be president. Period.
