The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has approved a resolution calling on the American government to end all aid to Israel if Israel does not stop building in Judea and Samaria and "enable an independent Palestinian state", JTA reported Sunday.
Voting at its triennial assembly in New Orleans that ended Saturday, the church also sought a halt to all investment in companies that profit from Israel's alleged occupation and called on the president of the United States to recognize the State of Palestine.

I can’t believe you are still with the ELCA. The LCMS is one of few churches that have made public stands against Obama care and the transexual insanity.
Our small PCUSA church is in the remaining few weeks of gracious release. It has been time consuming, but not overly difficult. The governing body has been kind, but they realize we are committed 100% in every vote to leave.
Congratulations on escaping the Devil’s Den!
ok, do a search for a posting today, Soros hacked. The captioned sentence from the Lutheran letter could be lifted word for word from Soro's 'global initiative' goals. So...how much did Soros donate to this Lutheran branch?
The ELCA isn’t a church. They are a group of hardcore commie leftists that meet every Sunday in the same building at an appointed time. They will, on occasion have a special ceremony to marry a couple of homos. The PC USA is the same.
Is there a link to the ELCA song?
>>I wish they would drop Lutheran from their name. <<
Some good Bible expositors believe that the Letter written to Sardis in Rev 3 could be viewed as an indictment the Reformed wing of Christianity. (LUTHERans,
CALVINists, etc).
YOU HAVE A NAME THAT YOU ARE ALIVE, BUT YOU ARE DEAD..
(Rev. 3)
The larger Lutheran group has become, despite it’s name, one of the foulest major churches in America.
Decent Lutherans I imagine have no choice but to switch to the Missouri Synod.
As a teenager I attended what was then called a Lutheran church of the American synod. That was a long time ago in another city.
I have learned since that the American synod merged with the Evangelical Lutherans in 1988. As always, it seems, the more libtard part of the merger has won.
Im pretty sure there are meds for this now.
Thanks for all the interesting info!
to Hell with these idiot ‘ Lutherans’
they brought us the mass if Somalis , now the Syrians , now the attacks on Israel . There need to be repercussions . Make them think twice .No pain = no reservations
Two things they are not: evangelical and a church.
We stopped attending ELCA when our pastor suddenly died, and a liberal pastor ended up taking his place. The church lost a lot of members at that time.
It is a shame, because some of the interim pastors were quite good.
The last time we attended an ELCA service, it was in a big building with few, mostly elderly, attendees. The church just does not seem to be connecting with young people.
Now, I think we should look for something else.

More anti-Semitic drivel from the leftist mainline churches-—includes the ELCA, PCUSA, UMC, UCC, and Episcopalians.
Wow, 'believe' and 'could be' in the same sentence establishing a causal link, strong evidence. The 'name' referred to there is 'Christian'. LUTHERans got the name from Catholics a a pejorative, Luther preferred Christian.
They are a bunch of leftists. The problem with so many of these “Christian” Churches like so many colleges and schools, is the leftist lunatics have taken over the control and administration and dictate policy to the followers who are intimidated into keeping their mouths shut and not protesting, let alone remove these vermin from their positions of authority. The ELA, like he Methodists and Episcopalians and United Churches of Christ, are Post-Christian Churches. On abortion, homosexual unions, etc, they no longer follow Biblical teachings. They make their own rules which are fashioned to match their new god - the leftist establishment.
This is timely article for me. My wife and I attended a North American Lutheran Church for the first time yesterday. We have a number of conservative friends who attend there.
We were very impressed and are still in the watching and praying time as we decide where we need to be.
From what I can tell they are Bible believing and teaching. The pastor prayed for Israel (among many other issues.)
Anyone have any input on the NALC?
