Thomas Gibson has been fired from Criminal Minds following an on-set fight.
Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from Criminal Minds,' ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios said in a joint statement Friday. Creative details for how the characters exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date.
Gibson, 54, was initially suspended for two episodes of the CBS series after a physical altercation with co-executive producer and writer Virgil Williams two weeks ago.
On Friday, Gibson told Page Six in a statement, I love Criminal Minds and have put my heart and soul into it for the last 12 years. I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that wont be possible now. I would just like to say thank you to the writers, producers, actors, our amazing crew, and, most importantly, the best fans that a show could ever hope to have.
The actor had previous on-set outbursts, TMZ reported, including one in which he pushed an assistant director and was subsequently sent to anger management courses.

My favorite actor on the show is Joe Mantegna..he is very Pro Military and I think he’s a Conservative too
My wife and I watched the first half of the first year...stopped after that because the show was simply too dark. It was really, really depressing. I liked the cast and thought it was well done but it was just too much for me.
Done with this show. Or what little I see of it.

I liked both of those shows.
flashpoint just reinforced my appreciation of US laws.
JMHO.
The pro LGBT stance and Anti gun meme broke the series for me.
Chelsea Clinton’s twin?
As should most shows. OTOH, I haven't watched any network TV series for at least ten years, probably longer, so what do I know.
As predicted in the Bible. “In the end times men’s hearts will grow cold” This one of the ways Satan creates zombies.
met him, not gay, straight as a string
Married since the 90’s and 3 children
I saw it only once some time ago. There were pro-liberal, anti-conservative sentiments expressed, not relevant to the plot. I forgot what it was. But I felt I didn’t need this propaganda.
Never watched the show until the past several months after I gave up my dish and only have broadcast stations now. Now I love it and believe me, there’s really not much else to watch. I do like crime shows. I’m kind of surprised by his short leash; wouldn’t have thought it by his demeanor in his character. Guess he must be a good actor.
I used to love to watch CSI the one in Las Vegas. The did a bit about sherrif from Arizona his name escapes me now. Anyway they spewed the BS agenda called him racist anti-immigrant. Shut of the TV didn’t watch it much after that.
I don’t watch many Tv series anymore because of that. Watch old ones. Columbo, Rockford files. No agenda messages in those.
I've watched a couple of episodes and find it too disturbing to qualify as "entertainment".
Would someone please tell me how Derek Morgan left the show.
His former co-star Jenna Elfman could take over for him.
She gets angry too when you mention her involvement in scientology flim flam.
I can't watch it because of Marg Helgenberger's anti gun stance. Funny how she doesn't have a problem cashing a paycheck for carrying and shooting perps on the show.

Thomas Gibson and his wife have been separated for two and a half years
http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/80739665.html
Sources close to the couple tell us, Gibson and his estranged wife Christine Gibson still live together for the sake of their children, but they’ve been separated for 2-and-a-half years ... six months before Thomas started messing around with one of his Twitter fans.
As we reported, Gibson and the woman — who catfished him by posing as a porn star — carried on a heated relationship for two years before Gibson discovered the entire thing was a sham ... he even sent her a sexy hot tub video (it’s hilarious).
It’s necro-porn.
Seriously, the producers are consciously reaching for new depths of depravity, intentionally appealing to people who are aroused by such stuff.
I used to watch the original CSI because the focus was on solving the crime thru forensic analysis. Over time it morphed into ‘let’s see if we can top last week’s gross-out freakyness.’
I tossed out my TV 10 years ago.
