Something strange is going on in Ohio. There don't seem to be any bumper stickers. I drive almost 100 miles a day on a major four-lane highway in northern Ohio. In the last two weeks, I saw one Trump bumper sticker in the parking lot of a grocery store, one Trump window-cling on a pickup truck on the highway, and one "I heart Hillary" bumper sticker at a rest stop. That's it. Four years ago, in August 2012, Romney and Obama bumper stickers were plentiful. It's a similar story with yard signs. A handful of Trump signs sprouted up during the primary rarely more than one or two per small town, and often none at all. I have yet to see a Hillary sign. Last week, as the media piled on Trump following the Democrat convention, I'd had enough, and I pasted a "Trump, Make America Great Again" and a "Never Hillary" bumper sticker (from the Rush Limbaugh website) on my 2002 SUV. Maybe I was also inspired by a classic rock station that reminded this elderly boomer of how it felt to be "Born to Be Wild." My 18-year-old self would have been contemptuous of giving in to fear. I hadn't really been worried about getting my car vandalized, but I was worried about social ostracism by the Democrats in my neighborhood. p>

I left my Ron Paul 2008 bumper sticker on my 2004 Jetta and never had a problem with vandalism...
I think fewer people have bumper stickers because you have to pay for them from the campaign. At least Republicans do! Some years you can get them from county party headquarters, but they want you to donate, too.
don’t want to get beat up or shot or even killed.
Me, also in Texas, have seen more Bernie stickers than anything else. A few Hellary and none for Trump.
I like my back window in its current non smashed condition
I was in New Hampshire three weeks ago and Trump won on the lawn signs. Some fair size ones.
Trump supporters are already being attacked. Romney supporters were attacked. Cars with republican bumper stickers are vandalized. And does ANYONE really change their vote because of a bumper sticker?
Besides. There are enough subarus and priuses out there with “Kerry Edwards” stickers to make up for it.
Any show of support for Trump will quickly get your car keyed by your average liberal. No thanks!
I saw a kid (white, 20s, guy) with a Trump bumper sticker yesterday. I was actually a little concerned for his safety. Hopefully, he was packing.
Hmmm, maybe someone should go around Cambridge MA putting Trump bumper stickers on cars.
I’d bet it would make front page news after all the progressives get their cars keyed.
Considering the documented violence and vandalism committed by Hillary supporters against Trump supporters, this shouldn’t be surprising. I teach at a university in Virginia and there is a 150% chance that my car would be vandalized if it had a Trump sticker. There is a 90% chance that the people who run the school would tell me that it was my fault - a micro-aggression you know.
I don’t want to be mean but that’s probably because RP was never actually a contender that was a ‘threat’ to Obama...
There aren’t all that many Hillary! supporters, and the Trump supporters don’t want their cars vandalized.
In Californicator land without C&C really available, showing support for Trump could place you and your family in danger like the young Trump supporter shown below:
My daughter lives near a university campus. You still see Bernie lawn signs and bumper stickers in her neighborhood. There are zero Hillary signs. The machinist’s union hall had a Hillary sign, but has taken it down.
People are being attacked and assaulted, cars are being damaged, yard signs are being set on fire by anti-Trump people. Most people don’t want to risk that reality.
Democrats, on the other hand, will say they fear those things happening to them because of the evil and violent Republicans, even though evidence of that just doesn’t exist anywhere outside of Democrat minds.
I think he made $4-6K for the season.
Don’t want my car trashed by liberal morons.
LOL
I agree 100%, I took down my Trump sign, and I'm keeping tabs on anyone visibly supporting Hillary.
I never thought I'd live to see it but my gut tells me showtime is coming. I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm ready.
