MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Monday that an independent conservative candidate on Monday will announce a challenge to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
"It does appear that there is going to be a well-funded independent candidate," Scarborough said on "Morning Joe," without providing a name.
Scarborough, a former GOP congressman from Florida, said the candidate would aim to get on 20 to 30 state ballots.

She better be careful she doesn’t trip and hit her head on a desk...
Council on Foreign Relations! Check!
Worked for the United Nations "Resettling" "Refugees!" Check!
Is a third party run by this POS surprising to ANYONE???
Those three, and anti-Trump. Sounds more attractive to Clinton voters than conservatives, doesn’t he?
BYU and Goldman Sacks. Look for the Romney connection.
If he runs, he can’t get on the ballot in most states. This is establishment agitprop: trying to keep DJT’s message out of the news and hitting the meme that conservatives are so, so CONCERNED about DJT.
Yep. That would be a very tall order if they hired people to get signatures and got started today. As I recall, there are about 8 states with deadlines in early September. The remaining 12 to 22 have deadlines at various times in August.
Is he going to bang on his guitar for Independents?
And a Wharton graduate. What more could we want? < / sarcasm >
Requirements vary by state.
Hahaha! How appropriate - a clown going down the drain.
Trump running for re-election in four years.
These guys are nuts. Ted Cruz lost get over it
Let's make it clear: Mika was big on Trump, too, at least until he got the nomination.
“Goldman Sachs! Check!”
“Council on Foreign Relations! Check!”

I wonder if this douche knows Heidi Heidi Ho Cruz?
Is that page a joke or have we gone that far overboard to think his is anything resembling a Conservative?
Well, a bad joke in that case. No, that’s who he is. Upstream I posted a link to his TED talk. Not that long (16 min) but if you watch it you’ll see that he is neither presidential, nor conservative. (Note warning, though.) However, I have no idea what the situation in Utah is. Maybe he’ll be a winner there?
Scarborough was never pro-Trump.
He gave Trump lots of free media time in the belief that such publicity would ultimately hurt Trump.
He is now, and always has been, a Jeb stooge
Scarborough is one of the biggest sellouts I ever remember seeing. If he were in any way principled, he’d admit he gave up being a conservative many years ago and wants to see Hillary as president. Instead, he knows he can do more damage to the Republican party and the conservative movement by pretending to be one of us still while stabbing us in the back.
MSNBC is the perfect place for underhanded, lying, traitorous Uncle Joe. I have more respect for the outright leftists on the channel who don’t try to cloak their real positions.
This is about saving the DC class.
MSNBC is the DC channel of choice.
this is a variation of Rove’s “operation hummingbird” which was to split the vote 17 ways for jeb to win the nomination.
The GOPe back to vote splitting.
Hey, Schmo called one right!
