From now on, every government agency will have to consider climate change
Washinton Post ^ | 08/02/2016

Tuesday the White House released yet another policy to fight climate change, one with potentially far-reaching consequences. The White House’s chief environmental office, the Council on Environmental Quality, finalized a six-year process of shaping how the government’s agencies, across the board, will factor climate change into their decisions.

The council’s new guidance involves what activists and environmental lawyers know as “NEPA” — one of those exceedingly wonky policies that is nevertheless critical to how the modern federal government functions. NEPA is short for a foundational 1969 environmental law, the National Environmental Policy Act, that required federal agencies to consider environmental consequences of their actions — all kinds of actions, ranging from granting a permit to drill on public lands to building a new road or bridge.

...

And now, the new guidance from the Council on Environmental Quality will ask agencies to not only include climate change in these considerations but actually quantify the climate impacts of their decisions, when possible, in the context of the environmental reviews that are already required by NEPA. It will also ask them to consider how to do things differently, in a way that could help prepare the U.S. better for a warming climate.

NO. Just until the next President takes office. It remains to be seen who that is.

This could be solved in an instant, if the GOP were not half of the Uniparty for over half a century and would defund every last unconstitutional executive agency (the last three words are a tautology, yes).

If this were true the first thing they should do is reduce regulations, reduce staff and give up budget ... for government consumes resources and produces nothing and also causes people to consume resources unproductively in order to comply with its innumerable dictates.

All of which comes at a cost to the climate.

This and 1000 other statist, progressive social-engineering schemes will stop when Fed.gov goes bankrupt. Let’s hope it happens soon.

What happens after that? I don’t know. Return to the Constitution and ordered-liberty based on limited government, or something far, far worse?

I guess that they’ll have to stop printing money. This uses too much energy and causes harmful emissions.

No. What you do is to stomp them to death with power of the people electing a President that means us well.

Then, you walk outside and find some mangy dog to lick the sh!t off your boots.

Climate change is real in that climate does change. What's not real is any of the model-based projections of the supposed catastrophe facing humanity if we don't undo the Industrial Revolution.

Don't believe me? Check out what Christine Figueres, the UN's top climate change official (and currently vying for the office of scretary general) said in 2015:

"This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the industrial revolution. That will not happen overnight and it will not happen at a single conference on climate change, be it COP 15, 21, 40 - you choose the number. It just does not occur like that. It is a process, because of the depth of the transformation."

So when is the Council on Environmental Quality going to take a look at the carbon footprint of the 0bama family vacations?

Just so you know, I’m not holding my breath on that one. If 0bama really believed the climate change fraud, he wouldn’t live as he does.

The government will now consider the “environmental impact” of awarding a contract for a new war ship.

I guess we are done with national security.

More dirt being shoveled on our graves!

This central socialist government is so far out of hand that it will take an immense amount of effort on the part of President Trump to undo all the evil. Obama is the worst thing that’s ever happened to this nation and many other nations.

He has a Congress that has no backbone. They should be climbing atop their little desks demanding his ouster NOW!
Brack will shovel so much more shit on America that by the time the new president takes office he will have accomplished as much as he did during those 8 years.

The government is in the position that something has to be done as we’re swirling around the drain right now. Most central government agencies will have to eliminated. The president’s cabinet will be narrowed down to just a few worthwhile patriots.

None of these government agencies should be allowed to use air conditioning.

Our side in the conflict with the Soviet Union was greatly aided by the junk science of agrobiologist Trofim Lysenko. His loopy theories about genetics made certain the USSR could never raise enough crops to adequately feed the Russian population.

Now we have a whole generation of Western Lysenkos whose junk climate "science" is intentionally dedicated to destroying our industrial society. Since the 1960s Americans have inexplicably harbored a self-hating cultural death wish. We're approaching the time when that wish is about to be fulfilled.

Their official barometer should be Al Gore’s beachfront property.

As long as Al has property on the beachfront, no action should be taken with climate change in mind. If the pioneering advocate for climate change action does not believe anything he himself said about it, neither should we.

Amen brother.

Remember, if you say anything bad about issues raised by Democrat Lysenkos, you are ANTI-SCIENCE!

Belief that man-made climate change exists = SCIENCE!

Belief that God exists = ANTI-SCIENCE!

Belief that the universe came into existence with an infinite number of other universes that we can’t see, touch, feel, or measure = SCIENCE!

Belief that X and Y chromosomes determine if you’re male or female = ANTI-SCIENCE!

The list goes on...
