When were these pix taken? If that’s all that still burning, they’ve done a good job. It would be nice if it would rain again to help them out.

I think sometimes the second and and third ones end up being better equipt for life on their own. They’ve already had to fight to survive. LOL!

I’ve thought the same thing after watching nests for a while. It seems to be the same no matter what kind of birds they are.
I guess Lady fed the babies well since Dad didn’t have much luck feeding them a while ago. #17 ate a couple of bites and #18 wasn’t interested at all.
So I went to check on our albatross-wannabe in Poland for a bit. It’s been going off on short flights and practicing its landings. Doing MUCH better today. ‘Bout time! LOL

Well, so he’s finally getting the hang of 2-point landings, huh! Do his parents still run away when they see him coming? LOL!

So far this morning, they haven’t been on the nest when it came in.
Dad did show up earlier with a beakful of sticks and dumped them on the kiddo’s head again. LOL! Then he fed and left. Haven’t seen Mom yet.
