Notwithstanding his war-hero son’s genuinely patriotic example, Khizr M. Khan has published papers supporting the supremacy of Islamic law over “man-made” Western law — including the very Constitution he championed in his Democratic National Convention speech attacking GOP presidential nod Donald Trump.
In 1983, for example, Khan wrote a glowing review of a book compiled from a seminar held in Kuwait called “Human Rights In Islam” in which he singles out for praise the keynote address of fellow Pakistani Allah K. Brohi, a pro-jihad Islamic jurist who was one of the closest advisers to late Pakistani dictator Gen. Zia ul-Haq, the father of the Taliban movement.
Khan speaks admiringly of Brohi’s interpretation of human rights, even though it included the right to kill and mutilate those who violate Islamic laws and even the right of men to “beat” wives who act “unseemly.”
As Pakistani minister of law and religious affairs, Brohi helped create hundreds of jihadi incubators called madrassas and restored Sharia punishments, such as amputations for theft and demands that rape victims produce four male witnesses or face adultery charges. He also made insulting the Muslim prophet Muhammad a crime punishable by death. To speed the Islamization of Pakistan, he and Zia issued a law that required judges to consult mullahs on every judicial decision for Sharia compliance.
Khan, who says he immigrated to the U.S. in 1980 to escape Pakistan’s “military rule,” nonetheless spoke admiringly of Brohi in his review of his speech. He praised his remarks even though Brohi advocated for the enforcement of the medieval Sharia punishments, known as “hudood” (singular “hadd”), that were later adopted and carried out with brutal efficiency by the Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan.

I expect his past statements on that subject would be far more reliable. Maybe we'll soon have a fairly complete picture of his beliefs in that regard.
Maybe we’ll hear from several of Khan’s men who witnessed whatever happened back in 2004, heroic or otherwise.

Capt Khan’s father shamed him for going to Iraq to war against Muslims. So Capt Khan killed in order to redeem his honor and the approval of his father. I am confident of this.

Me too. What pisses me off now is that they are getting on Kristina Pearson about saying Obama and Hillary killed the son. They ignore Clintons vote and concentrate on Obama not being in the Senate at the time. I hate the media. Trump needs to scream daily that Hillary voted for the Iraq war. She should not get a free ride for that.
To the best of my knowledge, his past statments are all scholarly works. The excerpts of law review that he wrote, that I've read, make no claim of "superiority" of sharia over other forms of law, which is the entire premise of the OP.
What The Media Is Not Telling You About The Muslim Who Attacked Donald Trump - Shoebat. This is where I saw the snippets of law review. They do not supprt Shoebat's conclusions either, the excerpts of the law review are clinical dissection of Sharia.

I’ve read some accounts of that, but the MSM will resist to hell and back reporting, let along believing such accounts that would so totally discredit this story Hillary is getting so much mileage from.
I think some men from Khan’s unit might open some eyes if those accounts are generally agreed upon, sort of like how we finally heard some reports from people who were actually in Benghazi.
I hope some come forward.
Obviously I’m defending the guy, but only based on the evidence I’ve seen. The OP is making some “leaps.” It’s a free country, and while the author is entitled to leaps, I’m entitled to withhold judgment until I see some evidence that makes sense, to me.
