He says that about Sharia, because he HAS to say that in the situation he is in.
Otherwise he is betraying his Muslim faith by rejecting Sharia.
So, with a wink and a nod, he goes “American” and fools even more people.
Obviously I’m defending the guy, but only based on the evidence I’ve seen. The OP is making some “leaps.” It’s a free country, and while the author is entitled to leaps, I’m entitled to withhold judgment until I see some evidence that makes sense, to me.
