The Veterans of Foreign Wars blasted Donald Trump on Monday for his comments about Ghazala Khan, the mother of a fallen Muslim Army captain, calling the Republican nominee "out of bounds."
“Election year or not, the VFW will not tolerate anyone berating a Gold Star family member for exercising his or her right of speech or expression,” said VFW leader Brian Duffy in a statement.
Story Continued BelowTrump said in his interview with ABC that aired Sunday that Ghazala Khan "wasn't allowed to have anything to say" as her husband, Khizr, criticized the Republican nominee at the Democratic National Convention last week.
“There are certain sacrosanct subjects that no amount of wordsmithing can repair once crossed,” Duffy said in the statement. “Giving one’s life to nation is the greatest sacrifice, followed closely by all Gold Star families, who have a right to make their voices heard.”

That is true. The time they came over there was no ISIS or radical Islamic terrorism (affecting western civilization anyway).
This wasn't mere Free Speech, this was entering the Political Arena, and there, all's fair.
This is why I am really afraid of what the debates are going to look like. Trump can’t help himself.
He doesn’t need to attack people. Not sure who is telling him that’s endearing him to independents but it will eventually bite him in the ass.
Rush is right today: Trump needs to focus on the ideology of the Democrats who could have selected any number of Gold Star families to speak about their loss. Instead they select a member of the Muslim Brotherhood who is a willing participant to appear on stage. Trump’s measured response (empathizing with the family’s loss, but questioning the mother’s not speaking then) was immediately jumped on by the despicable MS media. And the ever-stupid party Republican RINOs join in which makes Trump look uncaring and Hillary a winner to the low-information voters. They are so despicable it makes me spit (but send a donation to Trump!).
That would be a good idea if Trump can do that.

Looks like the people at Brietbart and Shoebat have done their homework and found some interesting things about Mr. Khan. Apparently, he’s an immigration lawyer for Muslims and very deep into bringing Sharia law to the US. He’s also mobbed up with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Clinton Foundation.
Jeeze, this guy might be totally destroyed by sunset.

Look, I have been pro-Trump since June 2015, I remain pro-Trump, I voted for him on February 9 and I will proudly and enthusiastically vote for him in November.
But, as we all do, he has weaknesses. One of his, one which “professional” politicians have learned to avoid, is to snap back at yipping dogs sent by their opponents to distract him.

I didn’t know that about the VFW. I bet a lot of VFW members don’t know that they discriminated against Vietnam Veterans.
Who is attacking? It’s what my dad and uncle said when they came home and wanted to join the VFW - it is why the VN vets started their own organization.
If they are stupid enough to keep voting for commies I have to question if they forgot enemy recognition since they left the service.

This is craziness. How could anyone in their right mind see what Trump said as an attack on her and not an attack on the oppressive nature of Islam against women? Do the VFW and the leftists now think standing up for a woman's right to speak and not just be submissive (even if done in a snarky manner) is a bad thing? This is starting to get truly sick.
Things are so up-side-down this election. The R is defending the rights of women and gays; the D is fighting for more of an oppressive ideology that targets women and gays. The R is fighting for regular working Americans; the D is fight for big global international businesses that have little concern about American interests. The R is fighting for a more common-sense and restrained view towards wars and foreign affairs; the D is pushing for a renewed Cold War and for multiple unnecessary forced regime changes and additional global meddling. I guess the Dems were just pretending when they claimed to be against all these things they are fighting for now.
