When Arizona delegates to the Republican National Convention were asked Thursday how many would not vote for Sen. John McCain in next month's primary, more than half of their hands went up.
The question stunned veteran pollster Frank Luntz, who had asked it as a part of a presentation on the last day of the convention on the challenges facing the party - one of which was party unity.
"Oh my God," Luntz said. "Where's the chairman? You should have told me this before."

LOL!!!
Ummmm what does that have to do with McShamey?
Because he has continued to sell out his constituency....
“.. rushed to help his Democrat friends...”
have you ever noticed how he like to grease the others palms??
The article indicates that McCain has several challengers.
He is using a strategy similar to the one Graham used — water down the challenge by having several challengers split up the votes.
Most times it works.
Occasionally, it fails.
As for Luntz’s reaction, this seemed to indicate he was pushing a certain narrative, but the participants went in another direction.

I wonder how a re-group of the first focus group after the first Republican debate would respond now?
At that time, they all claimed to be Trump supporters but changed their minds after watching the debate. The media carried that meme for months after.
CANTORIZE YOR WEASEL, ARIZONA !
Every one of these multi-national politicians who put fraudulently documented foreigners before Americans needs to be removed from office.
I’d have said “his commie buddies” but I was trying to be... diplomatic (for once; not one of my strong points)...
Hey, a great campaign line for Ms. Ward. Listing Kelli?
Bol!
Actually, I did not know that aspect of him. I only see him rush to defend them, to vote with them, and attack his own party and supporters time and again.
Most famously his absolute vicious responses during his campaign when our side tried to criticize Obama.
That completely shut me down regarding support for that guy in anything. It’s almost like a mental trigger with him; he goes into attack mode when you criticize the Dems.
“Luntzs reaction means one of two things:
1) McCains situation is much worse than the media is telling us. Luntz wasnt able to find and recruit enough enthusiastic McCain supporters for his event.
2) The establishment has decided to dump McCain and is deliberately signaling to the people, and the local party operatives, McCain is vulnerable and it is okay to vote against him.”
______________
Agree; however, there is also a third possibility; that is that the “chairman” was aware of Luntz being a GOP-e shill and actually “sandbagged” him.
(Seems like a lot of us are going off the political “reservation” in both major political parties these days.)
I didn’t mean “grease” in the monetary sense, but rather as you said, in the support of our adversaries.
Oh, gotcha Padre... it’s still morning... I’m only one cup of coffee in so far.
McClain is struggling for re-election? After he saved all those people from the burning building, the airport, and whatever else was in the sequels...?
Hee hee hee.
I think Ward is going to win this one. Flake is next.

I think we are on to the dilute the conservative vote scam in Az. At least I hope so. The folks in my work circle are voting for Ward. No McCain support. Empherical evidence but more in favor of the challenger than the last primary. I think he is finished.
Thank you for reading my mind and saying it so well!
