It’s called self immolation. July 20th 2016 will go down in Cruz family history as that moment when Ted Cruz detonated his career suicide belt and created the #NeverCruz movement.
Forget the non endorsement, that’s not the issue. Senator Cruz had a remarkable opportunity, he blew it. Cruz accepted an invitation to speak to the GOP convention then insulted the audience. Cruz couldn’t rise above his own brutal ego and petty selfishness. The arrogance simply went too far, he humiliated himself in front of millions.

I liked Trump from the beginning although I voted for Cruz in Virginia with full knowledge that he could not beat Hillary, thus a mostly conscience vote. But now I am done with the conscience vote and Mark Levin's purism because the American people rejected it. Too bad, a shame really, but a done deal.

I think this proves that Cruz went off script. Whatever speech he had submitted to the Trump campaign for vetting didn't match what he actually said.

I’ve read the previous comments and just think I know why I stopped supporting him. Not just because Trump entered the race but I got a “creepy” feeling.
Tonight he just looked like he was the cat who swallowed the canary and knew what he was NOT going to do.
Sara Palin worked to get him elected in Texas and then did not endorse him this time...I also wanted to trust her reason, though I do not know what it was.
Are these Texas delegates Cruz delegates? There were about 30 Trump delegates in Texas and 100+ Cruz delegates.
