Cleveland (CNN)Former President George W. Bush fretted to a group of former aides and advisers in April that he was worried he could be the "last Republican president."
The 43rd president's remark, at a gathering in Dallas of his administration's staffers, reflected a dim view of the party's prospects at a time when the primary contest was realistically down to Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

The DNC needs a fake opposition party so it looks like we still have a functioning democracy so they will NOT let the GOP end.
If he was, they sure ended on a crappy note...for the last two Republican presidents, not just the last one.

CNN gleefully trots this out during the convention. Of course it was an idiotic thing to say, but in the context of uncontrolled borders, might not be far off the mark.
If he is the standard, then the defective model should be retired.

He may have been the last professional politician. Maybe from now on we’ll have men who make decisions after listening to all the possibilities available to them So George may be the last of the “yes” men.

I remember when this nitwit came on the scene saying that he was a “compassionate conservative”. I always found that extremely insulting since he is insinuating that conservatives aren’t compassionate. Now we seen what brilliant minds he surrounded himself with.
