If it weren't for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton would be the most disliked major-party presidential nominee in recent American history.
That qualifier, of course, is important here. Clinton doesn't need to be liked; she needs to be liked slightly more than Trump in what will very likely boil down to a two-candidate race.
But it's hard to overstate just how bad Clinton's numbers are. And a new Washington Post-ABC News poll is the latest to suggest they just keep getting worse — so much so that they are in some ways about as bad as Trump's.
The poll shows 54 percent of all Americans have an unfavorable view of Clinton and 44 percent have a "strongly unfavorable" view of her. When you boil it down just to registered voters, those numbers tick up to 57 percent and 47 percent, respectively.
Either way you slice it, Clinton's image is as bad or worse than it has ever been.

But while Trump has certainly struggled, he seems to have leveled off and maybe even improved a bit in recent months.
Clinton, meanwhile, is trending worse and worse and flirting with Trumpian levels of negative feelings.

Trump is going to win big in Nov. The MSM is starting to realize it and can’t figure out what to do.
I’ve been watching the Stossel/Lott betting odds page for the last few months. I try to check it at least once a week.
It was wildly absurd > IMO, but I did want to see how it changed over time.
Over the last week Hillary lost 5.9% there. A the same time Trump gained 7.7%. The spread narrowed by 13.6%.
Trump is still trailing by 39.9%, thus the absurdity, again > IMO, but it will be interesting to see how it narrows as time goes by.
A week ago Hillary was at 74.4% and Trump was at 21.9%. A few more weeks like this, and we’ll be looking at some numbers that are fairly close. Right now Trump stands at 29.6% and Hillary is at 68.5%.
I’m not sure that I fully understand these betting odds, because it’s absurd to me to think she’s going to beat Trump at all, much less by 40-50 percent.
There’s no denying that Hillary is tanking at the moment.

True, and I fully expect her to find some way to wriggle out of facing Trump in front of the world, but refusing to debate him will be viewed as rank cowardice by voters, no matter what her reasons are.
If she doesn’t debate Trump, it’s going to cost her in November. Trump will make hay out of it, day and night, until the polls close. Count on it.
I listen to a talk radio show out of South Florida. The hosts love Trump and despise what they called Imam Obama. They’re convinced that he will pardon Mumia the cop killer, Joanne Chesimard and Tupac Shakur’s mother also cop killers. The two women are currently in Cuba.
I trust Hillary more than the Washington Post - at least her lies are artless.
Mumia is in prison on state charges (about 60 miles from where I sit). I do not think Obama has the power to pardon him.
Though that little detail never stopped him before.

What Aaron Blake of the Washington Post doesn’t ‘get’ is that the MSM has done everything they can to cover up Hillary’s problems... WHILE writing and spreading every bit of bad news they can about Trump.

I wonder if they fear spending the money only to have Hillary cancels at the last minute citing ‘health’ problems? Something acute but temporary, like a mild case of bronchitis?
