This is probably a very good thing especially because the security situation does not look at all good .... with the police making noises that they may not provide proper/good protection against, say, SOros/IslamNazi/DNC financed mass mobs and rioters?????
but...
a bunch of bike boys (a compliment! this is a compliment!).........if they do have to provide meaningful security or protection for delegates and speakers.... there could be an “optics” issue.... with, just maybe, the mass media calling them “thugs?”
maybe not much can be done about that, it is just something that might happen is all...???

being msnbc, I kept expecting the reporter to go all SJW on him and she sort of tried a little but his replies were very good. Smart man.

(maybe the Dallas police know but maybe not the Cleveland police? also in most cities it is the politicians who can issue orders to the cops, as you would probably want anyway....except that if the local politiicans are commies or BLM members or Soros Servants.....
then the cops get a ‘stand down’ (do nothing to protect” order.
for example, you see this quite a bit out in Californcation, such as Oakland, SF, and San Jose ..)
Haven’t seen this mentioned but Pence is an avid motorcyclist. He has lead several charity and safety awareness rides with ABATE and other bike groups.

I would feel safer with a thousand bikers around than relying on a couple hundred LEOs. My biggest worry would be them drinking up all the beer from any nearby bars. Going to be a dry section of town by the time they leave.

but it is a sad day when citizens can’t rely on the police (especially for protection at a known event so deployment or response time “getting to the scene” is no problem)
