Golden, a college student at the University of Miami, was in Central Park on July 3 with some friends when he stepped on a rock covering the homemade explosive and lost his lower left leg and foot.

Maybe it was a terrorist explosive. Or (my guess) something that got left over from a government exercise.
If you are going to the trouble to make a really big firecracker, why wouldn't you blow it up yourself?

Right. Someone creates a homemade "firework" and then places it under a rock, and stepping on it triggers the explosive. Yet there is no evidence suggesting that the explosion was terror-related.
Most likely was a test run to determine something about the homemade explosive device.

In other words the FBI thinks the bomb was planted by Hillary Clinton since there was no intent.
Practically anyone with access to YouTube can find a recipe or two for concocting a boom-go.
Haven't you heard? Only a bomb's container can signal evil intent.If you put the bomb in a pressure cooker, set it outside and leave it, the cops can figure it out real quick. But lack of container? Not much to go on. If only the Tsarnaev brothers had known. To this day, they'd be comfy in Kyrgyzstan with the cops still scratching their heads.
My guess is it was nothing more than kids experimenting with chemicals and trying to create an explosive..........
It certainly ain't no IED or planted device based on where it was located and no shrapnel attached......
