Conservatives: We Need To Fight And Win The Election We Have

In the ideal world imagined by some of our friends, Hillary Clinton would have been indicted and knocked-out of the race for President and Donald Trump will be replaced at the Republican National Convention by an as yet unidentified perfect conservative candidate whom the voters will anoint as the next President of the United States.

Of course none of this ever was, or is, going to happen, but some of our conservative friends can’t seem to stop wishing for the election they want, instead of concentrating on winning the election they have.

However, despite this lack of ability to focus on winning, the tools to win are actually there, in a way they haven’t been available to Republicans in the past several presidential election cycles.

First, and perhaps most importantly, we have a candidate – Donald Trump – who is a fighter and who will take the fight to Hillary Clinton and the Democrats in a way John McCain and Mitt Romney never would or could.

Second, we have the makings of a new and energetic conservative – populist coalition that clearly represents majority opinion on major issues that move voters; securing our borders, winning the war Islam has declared on the West, rebuilding our economy and creating jobs, and standing for law and order, to name but a few.

Third, in Hillary Clinton we have an opponent who has just been labeled by the Director of the FBI a liar who was extraordinarily careless with classified national security information, and who remains under multiple investigations for that and the corruption of her eponymous Clinton Foundation.

Fourth, Republican political alignment is stronger than it has been in generations: Republicans hold 31 governorships, and 54 Senators and 247 Members of the House of Representatives are Republicans, this is the strongest the Republican national party has been since the 1929-1931 election cycle.

Fifth, the Democratic Party has moved far to the Left under Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. It is now the party of same-sex bathrooms, same-sex marriage, government paid abortions, gun confiscation, open borders, job killing trade deals and the endless importation of welfare-dependent aliens. These policies are deeply offensive to millions of Americans who can be motivated to vote for change if they are presented with a change agenda – which Donald Trump is doing, despite the criticism and opposition of the Republican establishment.

Finally, and perhaps second only in importance to Trump’s willingness to take the fight straight at Hillary Clinton, is his commitment to confront the elitism that is poisoning our society and to fight for America’s forgotten working families.

Trump’s speech in Monessen, Pennsylvania, not only included a number of sensible policy prescriptions, it also included a politically powerful message to Americans who have been intentionally left behind by today’s political elite:

"Many Pennsylvania towns, once thriving and humming, are now in a state of total disrepair. This wave of globalization has wiped out totally, totally, our middle class. It does not have to be this way. We can turn it around and we can turn it around fast.

"But if we are going to deliver real change, we’re going to have to reject the campaign of fear and intimidation being pursued by powerful corporations, media leaks and political dynasties. The people who rigged the system for their benefit will do anything and say anything to keep things exactly the way they are.

"The people who rigged the system are supporting Hillary Clinton because they know as long as she is in charge, nothing is going to change. The inner cities will remain poor. The factories will remain closed. The borders will remain open. The special interests will remain firmly in control. Hillary Clinton and her friends in global finance want to scare America into thinking small. "

People in “flyover country” are starting to understand they’ve been the victims of a politician-made disaster. The destruction of America’s middle class, wrought over the past two decades and continuing today, wasn’t caused by some inevitable, pre-destined economic force – it was caused by the leaders we elected and entrusted with our government.

And Donald Trump is the only candidate for President talking about it and prepared to rectify it.

Clearly, it does not come naturally to Donald Trump to speak the language of cultural conservatives, politically active Christians, the Bible and the Constitution.

But, just as clearly, we have him looking our way on a number of important issues; judicial appointments, matters of conscience and religious liberty, government paid abortions, gun confiscation, open borders, job killing trade deals, the endless importation of welfare-dependent aliens and reining-in the use of government enforced political correctness to stifle Christian witness in the public square.

We know there’s no negotiating on our issues with Hillary Clinton, so it is to Trump that right-of-center voters will have to look if our country and constitutional liberties are to survive, and it is to us that Trump must look to find the votes necessary to win the election.

The future of our country is at stake in this election. It’s time we conservatives stopped wishing for an election that was never going to be and buckled down to winning the one we have.

If we cannot unify in the face of totally dishonest Clinton, total inept handling of the national unity, and total rejection of America’s greatest values and hopes, then those who want to fight against us were never on our side to begin with.

Exactly right. BHO and HRC are both BLM supporters. Hillary sent out a hashtag BLM just yesterday. They try to paint us as the racists. I call it the other way around. They are directly threatening “whitey”

Why do some believe that in a “perfect world” it’s perfectly OK for a tiny group of insiders to overturn the democratic selection of millions of voters who voted for Donald Trump with their hand-selected candidate?

Trump is a business man who is an interesting mix of talents, virtues, and defects. He is like granite on the subject of our national sovereignty.

Clinton is an open criminal.

Trump made his billions building and selling buildings. The Clintons made their billion selling their office.

You can investigate Trump’s finances, and you won’t get a bullet in the back of your head, or go sailing out of a 23rd story window.

Trump wasn’t my first choice, but seriously, this is an easy choice. And he is the perfect litmus test for exposing who is who on the GOP side. We’ve seen several key GOP figures outing themselves as coopted, compromised, bought, or blackmailed by the Clinton mafia. We need to remember who these people were, and consign them to the ash heap.

Personally, I’m considering resigning from “conservatism,” not because I no longer believe in it’s basic principles, but rather because it now houses a bunch of moronic a$$holes who, as the article says “won’t concentrate on the election they have.” They are simply nutso!

I don’t want Hillary Clinton indited and convicted to get her knocked out of the race and somehow pave the way for Trump or any other candidate.

I want her indited and convicted because she WILLFULLY broke the law with a specific intent to deceive and obfuscate, and revealed classified information to foreign nationals as a result.

By any logical prioritizing of issues, Trump was, in fact, the most Conservative candidate running in either party. He may be silent on some things that are important, but he has stood very tall indeed, on what is absolutely essential to the traditionally minded American.

I think in the long run, it will be better to run against a Hillary who is shown to have been deemed "above the law", rather than someone indicted for what the average low-IQ voter sees as "mere carelessness". It's not like she was accused of a Kim Philby-like treason. Had she been indicted, she would have easily skated and would have appeared "exonerated". Comey essentially damned her with faint praise by saying she broke the law but that he could probably not get a conviction. So, Trump can truthfully say she is guilty and untrustworthy.

Because they are “insiders” in the worst sense of the word who are either personally affected by their loss of control over our government or they are thee paid lackeys of those people!
The Republican Party needs to morph into “The People’s Party,” or be put out of business permanently and be replaced by a party that does.

.........let’s see, to help you out with some names.......................Paul Ryan, Ben Sasse, Lindsey Graham, Jeff Flake and other RINO liberals like them need to be called out by name in forums like FR, news media accounts, opinion columns and so on. 10,000 times a day would not be too much for these impersonators! They are liberals masquerading as conservatives to get elected and they need to be referred to as such constantly and relentlessly!

And that “housecleaning” needs to extend to the bureaucracies. Leadership comes and goes with the votes of the people, but these worthless turds carry over year after year, protected by arcane “civil service rules” that make it harder to get rid of them than it does those whom we get to elect.
