A high-powered group of senators officially petitioned the State Department Thursday to suspend the security clearances of former Secretary Hillary Clinton and her top aides — a move that could effectively kneecap her preparations for the White House.
Sen. Marco Rubio, a member of the intelligence committee, led the push, joined by Sen. John Cornyn, the Senate’s second-ranking Republican and a handful of others...
They took that step after the White House said it wouldn’t act on its own. The administration says both major presidential candidates have traditionally gotten such access, and President Obama won’t break that tradition despite the allegations against Mrs. Clinton.

Any security clerarance is null and void the day you leave your position of service.
All I know is she couldn’t get a clearance without the sedition, subterfuge, and treasonous acts of those in authority to grant such access...... she makes em all liars and domestic enemies that should be imprisoned for life at hard labor or executed for the crimes they commit when sharing access to such that endangers this nations national security ....... doom on ALL of them.

Actually, you’ve got it backwards. The President doesn’t need a security clearance, because the President is the one who ISSUES security clearances to everyone else.
Maybe I’m off point here, but why would she have a clearance at all these days? She’s out of government and doesn’t hold a job -either in government or industry —that would require her holding a clearance.....
It should have been done the day she left the State Department ............................................. I bet she never signed a DD 2962 form! Who debriefed her? Obama? Fat chance.

But seriously, she doesn’t HAVE a security clearance, does she? Or is she about to get one as the party’s nominee??? I’d rather give whatever secrets they give nominees to a commie like Bernie than to her.
Can they prevent her ever being able to get one? Because that stops her being nominated and that is one good thing for the cowering Eagle of the USA about now. Every inch back to freedom is a good one.

She doesn't. Neither does Trump. But since 1952 the President has authorized classified security briefings for the presidential candidates. Truman started it because FDR had kept him in the dark and he felt that whoever became president needed to have an idea of what was going on before they assumed office.
