~ Independence Day, July 4, 1776 ~
Preamble to the Declaration of Independence
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Yo, Hi radu!
Uneventful weekend so far. Son was over today and left just a bit ago.
Tomorrow I'm going to the VFW for the big breakfast they have every Independence Day.
Not sure after that, fireworks aren't allowed in this county because of the dry weather we have. I have a bunch of bottle rockets I'm itching to shoot off :-)

Well good. At least he was able to get over there at last. It’s a shame he couldn’t make it the other day when you’d planned to check out the WWII planes.
We went to watch the fireworks show in the next town over and though they were cool, they shot them off way too fast and it was over in 15 minutes!!! They normally go 45 minutes.
After we got home, I decided I just HAVE to shoot SOME fireworks this year - LOL - so went to the tent we always shop at and bought a few multi-shot packs. It’s dark now and I’m getting ready to head out to light ‘em up! It’s been awfully dry here but we got rain this afternoon and we’re good to go for fireworks. YAY!
Be back very shortly. I only got 6 packages so it won’t take long.

Well, that didn’t take nearly as long as I’d have liked. LOL! Can’t remember when I last shot off so few fireworks. But they were good ones and were a way to celebrate Independence Day a day early. Was afraid to wait until tomorrow evening because they’re calling for a good chance of rain.
I think everyone else in the county thought the same. It sounds like a war zone out there right now. LOL

It’s been a quiet one overall here, to - until a few minutes ago - since we didn’t make any plans this year. Last week was fairly hectic so quiet feels good. :-)

Cant remember when I last shot off so few fireworks.Well just go out early tomorrow and BUY MORE, they should have reduced prices! :-)
Even though they're banned here I've been hearing them going off all day.
