I always wonder about people who say they are busier after retirement than before. I hope THAT’S not true! :)

Read it and weep!: IT’S TRUE!

**snicker**

I think it’s because they get bored and look for things to do. Seems to be the case with friends who have retired. Kicking back is only fun for so long.

That’s probably true. I do get bored when I’m off too long. And I’ve caught up with my work around here.

Lordy, I hope I’m not talking myself out of doing it! LOL!

It’s just...I don’t think I can do another Christmas in retail! It’s a nightmare!

It’s been true here since I haven’t been able to work. Darn back reached the point of making me undependable for work - - never know when it’s going to go out and knock me down for however long. It’s not fair to an employer to get the job and leave them in a lurch time and again so I decided not to try any more. Retired a lot sooner than I wanted to. :-(

There’s plenty that needs to be done around here but it’s still a bit boring.

But I’ve worked retail at Christmas time before and agree wholeheartedly that it’s a nightmare. LOL! Not something I’d want to do again.

I hate that your back gives you so many problems. I have some back pain and I can’t imagine what you must suffer! Mine is nothing! But it still hurts, darn it! LOL!

LOL! My sister texted me today that a man, woman, and child were at her bedroom door. She said Mom was really spooked and it took sis a bit to talk her down.

I don’t think hiding will help. d:o)

We have been over and over and over the fact that no one gets in the house unless I’m home. She can’t get to the front door...too far to walk after the stair lift down to the landing.

Just had to go talk her down....the man, woman, and kid are back in her doorway. NO ONE IS IN THIS HOUSE BUT ME!

The weekend is not starting well. I was hoping with me home it wouldn’t be so bad.

It’s not starting well.

A Yellow Freight driver is the reason for my back problems. Most days aren’t too bad - little discomfort - and I’m able to do what needs to be done with little trouble. But one wrong move can knock me down for a while and that’s where the problem is as far as holding a job.

I don’t let it get me down. Make the best of the good days and on the bad days, just lay low knowing the good days will come back. :-)

I just saw that. Yikes! Sounds like she’s really wound up lately. Can’t make it easy to go home after a long day at work. Not much opportunity to relax. :-(

I hope she settles down during the weekend so you’re able to do some of the things you’d like to accomplish. Is it going to be nice so she can sit outside with her petunias for a while? That seems to have calmed her down several times.

Good morning, Sarge....I love that picture. God Bless the guys that keep us free and safe.

My knees are worse than Conor's...can't walk far enough to get from parking to the parade.

But in the not to distant past....my Dad and I went every year for years. I miss those times.

Start with a pancake breakfast put on by the Salvation Army...

The Veteran's Memorial...

My uncle helped supervise the building of the Alcan...

I’ve had that attitude all my life and it’s gotten me through several rough patches. If life knocks ya down, sit there a minute, catch your breath, and get up and go again.

Some of us just have to go a little slower these days. LOL!
