Howdy, PRO!
Yep, the Canteen DJ’s do a fabulous job of keepin’ da house rockin’ on Friday nights!
I hope your son isn’t busy all weekend so you can get together a bit.
The day was a quiet one but we went out for our weekly hanging-out-with-friends night. Just got home a short time ago.
Howdy, radu!
Got some fun plans for the 4th? I have to work for a few hours and then will just chill after.
Well I reckon ya can! LOL!
WOOHOO! LUV snags the #100!
Have a good day off, LUV?
I did! I even did a few minor chores! Next week gotta get back to the normal routine. I just took a mini vacation this week...since I only worked on Thursday. Not complainin’ one bit! :)
Howdy, Kathy.
TGIF and I’ll bet you’re more than ready for the weekend!
No big plans here this year. We’ll go watch the fireworks at the neighboring town.
If our friends’ house hadn’t burned down this year, we’d have plans to go there tomorrow for the annual party they always had and shoot our own fireworks. It was always a large time since everyone who went took fireworks for the “show”. And we all got the BIG stuff. LOL!
Just hoping for quiet...dealing with heavy duty hallucinations with my Mom. Just now spent time listening and explaining, over and over, that there are no cars on her lawn and no helicopters, with soldier rappelling, over the roof across the street. This after a major clean up of a spill in the kitchen. We are fairly certain she has Charles Bonnet Syndrome....a combination of macular degeneration and hearing loss.
My sister deals with them long distance on the phone from California a couple times a day while I’m at work. Then I get them when I get home. Every day I deal with the people in the choir on the bleachers in the back yard. And the folks looking into her bedroom (on the second floor) are “here” most every day. I deal every day with the guys working in the back yard cutting down her trees, and without her permission. No workers and no trees down.
Glad it was a good day off, even if there were some chores involved. LOL! They do need to be done, though, don’t they?
Aww...You really are going to miss them! Maybe you could go visit them in their new town!
I always hate to lose good and dear friends!
Yeah, eventually they do. I’ll have more of them next week.I work more, too. Bah! LOL!
All these days off have spoiled me! :)
Oooo YUM! A chok-lit Frosty!
And ya just HAD to rub it in, didn’ cha? hee!
Oh yeah we’ll miss them a lot, as will all their other friends here. But they’ll be back to visit periodically because their grandkids are here.
I don’t know if we’ll get to visit them there. Not easy to get a critter sitter for all the kittehs.
Chores NEVER go away. Get one done and another pops up. Drat!
Days off do have a tendency to spoil us, don’t they? But there’s always retirement to look forward to. :-)
Maybe there is a way to deal with the hallucinations:
Tell her that she is correct and that she’d better hide in the bedroom under the covers. ;-)
“And ya just HAD to rub it in, didn cha?”
**evil grin**
That’s ok. I’d have probably done the same. LOL!
I’m still too stuffed from supper to be in crave-mode tonight but tomorrow would be a good time to go to Wendy’s or DQ for some kind of treat. Haven’t been to either one in a while.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Gonna get any dims this weekend?
It’s beginning to sound better all the time! LOL!
I always wonder about people who say they are busier after retirement than before. I hope THAT’S not true! :)
Good evening, Publius, and thank you for more Seattle Chamber Music Festival Previews. ((HUGS))
Enjoying Strauss now.
