Trump: Scotland and Brexit, an advertorial for his golf course, and then goes full statesman
American Thinker ^ | 6/24/2016 | Thomas Lifson

Old habits die hard for Donald Trump, apparently. Addressing the world’s media in a press conference at his golf course in Turnberry, Scotland, he used the first ten minutes or so to promote his property. To say the least, we have never seen a potential president mix his business interests with the political stage.

As I write, he is responding to questions from the media and saying sensible things about Brexit, emphasizing that the British people are taking back control of their destiny. It is pretty impressive.

I can only conclude that Donald Trump is a statesman in progress. And now the entire world knows about his golf course and hotel. So who's the dummy: Trump or the CNN commenters sneering at him?

The press said he didn’t need to be there. His reply: Yes I do. To support my kids, Eric and Ivanka.
______________

What parent does not understand wanting to celebrate their kid’s successes. Families in America love to see successful kids because it means their kids can be that way too.

Trump pointed out that Hillary thinks it’s all about her. He uses her own campaign against her left and right. How is it that he is able to do this and NO OTHER REPUBLICAN was ever able to? That’s rhetorical of course.

Well said.

It can not be overstated in importance. Trump intuitively is selling all the time. Making the sell is the high

Without selling all the time the organization dies. That is the reality. Without daily sales and new market share the game is over. Trump is very, very clear on this.

“How is it that he is able to do this and NO OTHER REPUBLICAN was ever able to? That’s rhetorical of course.”

It may seem rhetorical to you, but I do not think it is.

Trump is able to do this because he is the first to attempt to do so when enough new media has been developed for him to get his message out without old media support.

Other Republicans saw themselves at peril from old media attack at all times.

The new media, Trump’s development of his own social media network that rivals that of some old media, and, of course, his skill at media manipulation, have all worked together to bring this about.

You can bet that all professional politicians are making notes.

I lived in the UK in the 90s - maybe things have changed since then but Scotland back then was pretty much a welfare sucking state. They had a majority of their people on the dole. If Scotland leaves, England is better off financially.

You’ve made a good point. I’ll add to that. The other politicians have to have guts to what Trumps doing. I can’t think of any others who’ve got the guts to do it even with new media support.

I have noticed that Trump shares the spotlight with his employees and contractors. He publicly thanks the people that have been involved with his projects including the labor force up to the suits. You can readily see some of the attributes that make him a good leader. Contrast those qualities with Comrade Obama.

You watch Trump and you realize his slogan:” I’m with you” is for real. He is with his employees, his contractors, his kids etc.

Contrast Hillary’s slop :” I’m with her.” Yuck!

He is burying Hillary. She cannot compete with this. Not even close.

Yep, I'll bet that Bill is keeping his distance from her these days. I pity her Secret Service detail and I *almost* feel sorry for Huma. Almost.

You make an excellent point.

How much of her own personal money has Hillary - or any Clinton - put into us, or even her campaign?? She doesn’t tip servers, and sometimes doesn’t even pay for meals at all.

It’s worse.

Fox led with “Trump Comments on Brexit” as a tease then pivoted to Obama’s comments, then to Hillary’s, then to Weekend at Bernies, then to break.

I was laughing and screaming in the car. (XM)

Meanwhile, back in the US, the only thing Hillary Clinton is running is her mouth.

She might be having a sinking feeling right about now, seeing the revolt against the establishment globalists in the UK. She might also have a bad feeling about 0bama’s campaigning for her since he went over to London to lend his support to the Remain campaign, and he didn’t have any influence, and his support may have actually backfired on the Remain campaign.

To be honest; I’m very happy for him, the good fortune seen by him and the outcome of the BREXIT referendum. Any man who ‘STANDS WITH US’ is a man I wish to stand alongside. Thank you Mr. Trump. Thank You for saying aloud “AMERICA FIRST”

Well played. He’s handling the media at his Press Conferences better all the time. What a fast learner. Knows when to shut em down, is making them laugh and even though katy is vile, he’s giving her plenty of questions. He’ll win her over eventually.

Shame wapo couldn’t be there. Baa haa haa haa haa!
