Based on the information they have secured from their brothers and sisters in the law enforcement community, there is unanimity on the fact that charges are going to be recommended by the FBI, he said.
It is impossible for them not to, under the circumstances, he stressed.
DiGenova acknowledged, however, that Lynch has the discretion to do nothing.
But to the people in the FBI and intelligence community, he said, that would be inconceivable.
There is going to be a revolt of Watergate proportions if criminal charges do not go forward.

Well there special agents, you may as well put in your retirement/resignation papers or at least get them ready. The AG lala ain't gonna move on this. Remember she had a meeting last week with the lyin' king where the DID NOT discuss this issue. I'm thinkin' there's about as much chance of a mass exodus from the FBI as there will be of hoolyweird celebs who swore they'd be fleeing the country when Trump wins.

I wish this were true but I just cannot convince myself that it is. These are government workers at the end of the day. They are not going to jeopardize their jobs and pensions.
I hope that I am wrong.

Why there was never discussion of a special prosecutor is beyond me. Lots of reasons but the main ones are the impotence and complicity of the republican party.
This being the administration’s former cabinet officer and current presidential candidate, can’t think of a more obvious situation for an independent prosecutor.

Nope. Not gonna happen.
Like the rest of the D.C. bureaucrat drones they just want to keep their heads down and their noses clean long enough to collect a pension that the rest of us could only dream of.
No one is gonna be dying on any hills over principle here.

Some are saying that FBI employees are already leaking information ala Watergate. No love lost for Obama or Hillary.

The Watergate-era special prosecutor law was allowed to expire about 15 years ago. Thus the only mechanism to get a special prosecutor is for Loretta Lynch to appoint one. Don't hold your breath.

OK I can buy leaks but no mass walk out or overt protest

If the FBI recommends prosecution and the AG ignores it I think quite a few democrats and a whole lot more independents are honest enough to realize that the system is rigged and hell will break loose. Killery will be forced to pull out. However, either way TRUMP will win.

Their courage surfaces the moment they retire and announce their book deal ten years too late.

Yeah I don’t see walkouts coming. That’s a luxury for those without family obligations. But I’ll be happy with leaks.

Some are saying that FBI employees are already leaking information ala Watergate. How else does Trump repeatedly make "outrageous accusations" that turn out to be true, weeks or months later?

Here's my guess:
We will hear more, and more about the General Petraeus deal, where he pled guilty to a misdemeanor. A similar deal will be worked out between Lynch and Hillary, in advance, and all-of-a-sudden, one day we will hear of charges, and a nolo contendere plea, and it's all over. There will be a big deal for only one day, with every media comparing it with Petraeus, and it's suddenly "Old News", never to be dragged out by the alphabet media, again. Hillary will say "I'm innocent, but I didn't want it dragged out in the courts so I didn't contend the charges. I'm here to save the women and children, so let's get back to the real issues."
