Exclusive: Corey Lewandowski Escorted Out of Trump Tower, Out of Trump Campaign
Breitbart.com ^ | Neil W. McCabe

Posted on 06/20/2016 10:35:11 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Donald J. Trump fired his wunderkind campaign manager Corey Lewandowski Monday at the campaign’s regular Trump Tower meeting.

“Corey was escorted out of the building,” a source close to the campaign told Breitbart News.

Lewandowski came to the meeting unaware that he had lost the support of the GOP presumptive nominee, the source said. At the meeting, attended by both senior campaign staff and members of the family, Trump reviewed different campaign metrics that were all faltering: cooperation with party leaders, fundraising, surrogate operations and most importantly the polls.

The campaign manager seemed to have run out of ideas. When the New York City developer asked Lewandowski what he would do to turn things around, the only thing he could come up with was for Trump to announce his pick for vice-president.

Pitching that as the solution sealed his fate, the source said. “The VP pick was the one piece of suspense that would make people tune into the convention—Corey wanted to give that away now? There was no way.”

A dangerous move by Trump. He may have some deep dirt on Trump that he could sell to Hillary.
_______________

I agree. They have been through a lot together. This does not sound like Trump. It could also be a head fake designed to confuse the opposition.

If Lewandowski schedules a meeting with Hillary or one of her lieutenants it could get interesting.
____________

I am certain that Corey had to sign some kind of non compete that is so overwhelming he won’t be able to do that.

I wonder if the Trump supporters will now say that he DID push that reporter

I still haven't seen any evidence of that. If and when I ever see such evidence, then I'll change my tune.

Trump, if he wants to have a shot...

Ah scheming mole, what time today did you say you're heading on back to the hillary tent?

I don’t have an answer. Trump needs to try and find some way to reach more people.

And you sneaky 27, need to scoot on back to the hillary campaign.

There's a narrative that's been leaked to the press about how Corey has been acting out more and more in internal meetings. And how he and Hope Hicks had a screaming match on a NYC street corner.

That's not how Trump and his people operate. Professional people in a presidential campaign don't go down to a street corner and yell unless they are trying to create a narrative for public consumption.

Particularly not Trump's people. His people are extremely well behaved. He demands professionalism.

This entire Lewandowski firing is very suspicious.

I have a guess as to what is going on but I think it would be better to keep it to myself.

Trump...has to find a way to reach the idiot masses and then change their mind about him.

So when he reaches you to change your mind he has succeeded?

GO TRUMP!

‘95% of social media out there is against him and it’s playing a part in swaying the voters.’

Like the other one said, ‘I’m here to demoralize people.’

Oh, and he didn’t have an answer either.

Good points. Whatever is going on, I doubt the media knows. Corey is a good valuable resource. I remember when Roger Stone was let go from Trump’s team. Since then Stone has been doing dozens of interviews for Trump. I would not be surprised if Corey went and did something that benefits Trump. He is too valuable to waste.

Look, I know lots of people are looking for nefarious things about this change in staff, but let’s just stick to reality here. He was fired because the big money donors who buy access to politicians wanted familiar faces to hand over millions of dollars to the PACs that would not only support Trump’s campaign, but the campaigns of thousands of Republicans across the country.

The money wasn’t pouring in because so many were unsure as to if that money would buy access. Now they’ve got a familiar face who regularly sells access to politicians, and the money should return to the free flowing firehose like the GOPe expects. They also expect Trump to hire a large staff to micromanage everything, regularly put out hundreds if not thousands of press releases, and employ thousands of consultants that depend upon the cash haul every four years for their income.

I mean, seriously, Trump’s campaign manager wasn’t even collecting a portion of ad buys - what kind of moron was he, wondered the big money donors.

Well, we already know, he was the guy who got Trump the nomination for 54 million dollars, a tenth of what his opponents spent to lose.

Remember when Reince traveled to Texas with Trump on the Trump plane.... I wonder if the Corey decision was made then. All of us know Trump is in it to win it. He is not interested in losing. Trump has to shake things up a bit! I trust him. Time will tell if this is a good move or not.

you’re joking right? I don’t think this will have a major effect on the election but if Hillary were to let go of her campaign manager at this point we will be talking about how unstable her group is. how you think the media harping on this for the next 3 days is good attention I don’t know.

“I vote for conservatives.”

Let me try to follow your thinking here, AppyPappy, if you will try to set aside your animus towards Trump for a couple minutes.

Trump is the presumptive nominee. Against all expectations he beat, what, 16 others? including Cruz.

When Jeb, Mitt & Co. stopped laughing (”He’ll never get anywhere.”) and Trump started winning primaries, they insisted he sign an oath, like all the rest of the remaining candidates.

Then it was, “He’ll never get to 1,237.” The RNC and the rest recited that like a mantra. Then when Trump came out on top, the also-rans broke their oaths. The worst nightmare of the GOP establishment came to pass. Trump won, you know?

“The Convention has not occurred. The Republican candidate is not official.”
Now that Trump has in excess of 1,237 [1.500 (?)] FRiends like you come out of the weeds to snipe, leaving unsaid, “Maybe my `true-blue’ conservative Ted Cruz can still take the nomination at the convention!”

Cruz couldn’t beat Trump over the last several months and in dozens of primaries; in any event, keep in mind that it is possible that a convention putsch by GOP-terds (no offense) might give us designated looser Jeb Bush. They don’t want Cruz.

So what’s the latest condition you would mandate that Trump must meet in order to prevail and win your support? That he strip to the waist and personally force each bitter Cruz hold-out to tap-out in a UFC octagon on the floor of the convention?

Have you enjoyed the last eight years? Why are you so determined to lose?

PS
Oh yeah, and thanks for calling those of us who would like to deny Hillary Clinton’s dream of grinding the country under her cankles “Trump supporters” and not `Trumpettes, Trumpkins, Trumpsters, Trumpeteers’ and all the other clever bon mots.

Right now it’s being reported that Corey is only saying good things about Trump. Let’s see if this lasts.
