As Orlando continues to reel a week after the worst mass shooting in US history consumed the city in tragedy, one Chicago man is traveling thousands of miles to deliver comfort.
Greg Zanis, 65, drove 1,200 miles from his home to the Orlando Regional Medical Center to deliver 49 wooden crosses he made by hand.
Each of the three-foot-tall white crosses bears the name of the 49 victims who were murdered at the gay nightclub Pulse during Latin night on June 12.

Nice gesture but what about the millions of babies deliberately murdered. Where are their crosses and where are their remains? I realize that God takes care of their souls.

You can’t turn on a TV news show (including every show on FOX NEWS) without seeing some talking head gushing over some sodomite that was there.
They are being idolized and called heroes.
The tears and condolences flow on TV for the homos - especially those who say they lost their boyfriends.
Mothers and fathers are being interviewed as if their queer offspring had just invented a cure for cancer, landed on Mars or saved a busload of schoolkids.
There are reportedly thousands of flower bouquets, crosses and makeshift memorials for the dead and many millions of dollars have been donated to the Orlando GoFundMe, OneOrlandoFund and other on line donation vehicles.
Sports teams and other organizations have announced Gay nights or events, and various local state and national government entities are flying the homo Rainbow flag.
That’s a long drive, but the hard part is going back to Chicago.
I am not so sure. With the stakes revealed as existential, gays have seemed to quickly recognize that while Christians may prefer to decline to bake wedding cakes for gays, unlike Islam, they do not want to kill gays. Christianity alone of the major faiths regards all people — including gays — as having an innate dignity and worth conferred by God. And the genuine and open-hearted shock and mourning by Christians and services by churches for those killed and wounded in the Orlando attack marks as lies the usual propaganda by the Left that Christians hate gays.
Since he’s from Chicago, I have to wonder if he puts up crosses there whenever some innocent person is shot and killed by a gang-banger?
We can always pooh-pooh a gesture because it is still not equal to the suffering in the world.
I’d at least suggest that if they get accosted like this again and want to be known as heroes, then by all means STORM THE BASTARD THAT HAS THE GUN if they can’t see clear to be armed in the first place.
Yes, there will almost certainly be some sacrifice. But it will be a picture of effectual sacrifice.

The crux of the problem is not the babies, even. It is the women. If it were possible somehow to enact a perfect US ban, they would just go to Mexico or Canada.
And who knows? You might find that caring even for a crowd in a louche den might lead to caring for more people. That’s kind of the way Jesus did it. It’s self proud churches that came up with formulae to be applied in a worldly way.
False “Christians” mourn for 49 murdered homosexuals but not for the 60 million children murdered by our government (because the people ARE the government), by abortion.
