Condoleezza Rice, the former secretary of state for the Bush Administration, is "not interested" in being Donald Trump's vice president, her chief of staff told Yahoo News on Friday.
Instead, she reportedly plans to assist incumbent Republicans on the ballot in state elections, whose seats are thought to be in jeopardy due to Donald Trump's controversial White House bid.
"(Rice) plans on doing a few events to help her friends in the Senate," one source familiar with Rice's plans told Yahoo News.
"She's concerned about down-the-ballot races and wants to be helpful where she can."
Rice is currently a professor of global business and the economy at Stanford.
Her work will apparently coincide with similar efforts from former president George W. Bush, who has already begun fundraising and supporting the campaigns of endangered Republican senators.
Bush held a fundraiser earlier this week for Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who is up for re-election there.
McCain last month said, "If Donald Trump is at the top of the ticket, here in Arizona, with over 30% of the vote being the Hispanic vote, no doubt that this may be the race of my life."

Meanwhile, there’s nothing controversial about Hitlery Rotten Clinton. No sir-ee.
(I don’t need a sarc tag, do I?).
The Cheap Labor Express is in rescue mode. Their stooges are marked for removal.
Wanna bet she voted for Obama? Twice.
See the VA House election this week for an example. Mia Love will lose because she turned into a “go-along-to-get-along” type.
Let’s be fair here though... While Trump is a master at dealing with what he says, more localized candidates are getting beaten up by having to defend what him. Right or wrong. And most of them don’t have the ability to support the same things he does.
Even during the Reagan years, the GOP never shared his level of popularity.
Now, she's only "Mia Like".
It will all hit the fan then.
I’m sure the GOPe is very concerned about Trump’s impact on senate races. Take an honest look at the US Senate! What a bunch of blantantly anti-American, one-Worlder, ancient, corrupt jerks (and I’m talking about the Republicans). If we keep electing these fossils—and I’m not so young myself—nothing will ever change. The US Senate needs a complete cleansing. One third should kiss their jobs goodbye every two years.
These guys have extremely generous penions plans. I say it’s time they start using them!!!
WHAT Bush Administration, and who (expletives deleted) axed her?

It was both “moderate” bush administrations that gave us Bill Clinton and Obama. The Bushes have done enough damage to the USA already.
She is a bad choice any way.
Didn’t like W before. Sure don’t like him now
By “politicians endangered by Donald Trump” they mean Yeb!
The “Bush Administration” had better get wholeheartedly behind Trump or they are not going to believe what happens to all the down-ballot candidates if they succeed in sidelining Trump!!!
The single most liberal NeoCon Globalist Senator, and GWB is supporting HIM.
This informs me who Bush is.
I was so terribly fooled by George W. Bush. He really put one over on me.
McCain last month said, "If Donald Trump is at the top of the ticket, here in Arizona, with over 30% of the vote being the Hispanic vote, no doubt that this may be the race of my life."
This is the race of your life because you are a Globalist NeoCon superliberal, McCain.
