Of course foreign donations are totally illegal, with one glaring exception. Foreign nationals may not make contributions in connection with any election Federal, State or local. This prohibition does not apply to foreign citizens who are lawfully residing in the United States (those who have “green cards”).
Those who are unlawfully present, or are not authorized to carry a “green card”, are expressly prohibited.
Not that this means Jack Schnitt to Democrats. They are not bound by the Code of Federal Regulations.
Not “anybody they want to”. Just anybody that accepts their cash.
It is not a coincidence that The Donald largely self-financed his primary campaign.
But now that he is in, he is actively soliciting money for his general election campaign.
