If it is true that the best defense is a good offense, President Obama should be celebrating in the end zone now. Obviously furious over criticism that his anti-terror policies are weak and that the Orlando slaughter proves it, he went on a televised tirade to let America know he’s mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. He laid waste to a field of straw men, cable-TV pundits and the always-evil “partisan rhetoric,” by which he means anyone who disagrees with him.

Not so with this one! I thought Charles Hurt's fusillade was impressive yesterday but this sees Obama's frequently-exposed flank and hits him early and often where it hurts most: his ego.
It's hard to differ with anyone who believes Obama is a Muslim or (more likely) an atheist who believes there can be no power greater than himself and who has Muslim sympathies because they represent a political threat to the West (aided and abetted by Western leftists). It's also hard to differ with those who say he's an undiluted communist. But I have always believed that the cause Obama holds most dear is...Obama. They say long-distance psychoanalysis is risky and often inaccurate but not so in this case.
Obama was already viewed as an inconvenience by his father who naffed off sharpish. His mother no doubt felt the same as she dragged him around the Pacific Rim, eventually tiring of the task and leaving him with Grandma in Hawaii. A case of separation anxiety is virtually guaranteed in that situation.
Obama's coping mechanism was to ingratiate himself, ie become a politician without the elective office, with everyone he met. Arriving on the US mainland, he found that his skin tone and exotic name (conveniently changed at will) were talismanic to self-loathing and nation-loathing academic lefties on both coasts. Like all Icarus types, he began to believe his own hype and never really stopped, especially as his chorus grew.
He is nakedly political. He is a leftist. He is a traitor. But above all these he is an egomaniac. Criticism or differences over the merest trifle will send his temper past boiling in a millisecond. Even a simple question he doesn't like will cause him to involuntarily lower his head like a bull as he subconsciously considers rushing at an interviewer.
His last days are spent in desperate - and futile - grasping for a 'legacy.' The reality, of course, is that any president's legacy is written long before his term ends, especially a two-term president.
The contrast between his cold, blank, rote responses to American deaths at home and abroad and his animated, almost manic, diatribes on guns and the GOP 'opposition' that exists strictly in his imagination could not be more pronounced. As Goodwin says, a rival candidate has finally dared to point out the obvious links between Obama's ideology, failure to lead, failure to act and the dangers now lurking in Anytown USA.
Remember the 'Obama hasn't had a press conference in months' headlines? He's been on teevee twice in 48 hours and dedicated precious little time to the actual victims and their families. Instead, President Queeg chose to fold his arms, hold his breath and let his inner third grader run free 'I'm not going to say it and you can't make me.'
Pathetic.

This defective human being was failed from the get-go. America was doomed to wallow in the swampland from the time this liar was sworn in.
Donald Trump is the only one on the horizon that could and would rescue our nation; however, it will take decades to complete the job by filling the prisons with these decadent politicians. The central socialist government needs to have President Trump take a meat axe to this bloated, evil monster.

The Emperor has no clothes....he is an epic fail and the world now knows it for sure. Orlando was the final nail in the coffin.
And Trump plainspokenness and blunt truth-telling is like paint remover, stripping away layer after layer of the facade of lies so carefully brushed onto our national narrative by Obama.
Of course Obama is livid.
Trump is undoing his web of lies in front of everyone. Trump is literally exposing Obama's legacy for what it is...and exposing Obama for what he is.
Hilly has a real problem on her hands ... with Obama ostensibly ‘campaigning’ for her, he’s really going to be on the “me, myself, and I legacy tour”. Actually, I’m glad she’s got this problem - Obama will be a millstone around her neck. Hilly/Billy is going to get mad at Obama (again) for taking the spotlight off of Hilly during what is supposed to be her glorious moment in history & I think there will be a dust-up between the Clintons & Obama, at a minimum. Of course, they can’t make Obama too mad since he’s the pardonmeister. Oh what a tangled web .....
I see him as someone determined to bring down America and he is doing a good job.
Let’s give him credit. That was the most openly honest he’s ever been on camera. He did precisely what he said he’d do. Stand with the Muslims if things started turning against them. He knows the wind is changing and he cant stop it. He so badly wanted to say Islam is wonderful and perfect and should rule the world; it was killing him. Seething, boiling spitting mad- if someone had thrown water on him he would have melted. Winds picking up Hussein...gonna be a hurricane!
Good post. If Obama were Republican all those flaws would have been pointed out by the media long ago.

You surely have noticed the lack of those conference room/long table ‘meetings’ (actually photo ops) with Obama joined by the so-called Dem leadership.
The open secret in DC is that Obama has committed the greatest sin of all from the Dem viewpoint: he hogs the spotlight.
Pelosi is terminally PO’d about it and Reid and Schumer are simply waiting him out.
Trump’s tactic is brilliant. Knowing how easy it will be to get under Obama’s thin skin, and the sort of reaction Obama would have, he attacked.
This puts Hillary in a position of either having to defend Obama or distance herself from him.
Either way, Trump wins.
