The Pink Pistols gives condolences to all family and friends of those killed and injured at Pulse, First Speaker of the Pink Pistols Gwendolyn Patton said in a statement. This is exactly the kind of heinous act that justifies our existence. At such a time of tragedy, let us not reach for the low-hanging fruit of blaming the killers guns. Let us stay focused on the fact that someone hated gay people so much they were ready to kill or injure so many. A human being did this. The human beings tools are unimportant when compared to the bleakness of that persons soul. I say again, GUNS did not do this. A human being did this, a dead human being. Our job now is not to demonize the mans tools, but to condemn his acts and work to prevent such acts in the future.

It is striking to me that in Florida, no one in the club was armed. I always assume that half the people in Florida are packing heat, but maybe not.
Had anyone in the club been armed, this ought to have had a very different outcome. I don’t think the shooter had much courage, so any lead coming his way would have changed everything.
To be more specific, it was a Muslim.
If you can carry, do it. If you get to your car and didn’t bring your sidearm, go back inside and get it. Never be without it. The life you save may be your own, or another, or maybe even 49 others
It was a Gun Free Zone. Which is the type of soft target the Jihadists are told to select because they know there will be no armed resistance.
In Florida, all places that sell liquor are gun free zones.
From what I’ve read, Florida’s gun laws make it illegal to carry in any establishment that serves alcohol — the club was, by law, a gun-free zone. Well, mostly...
That would have required a change in Florida law, which prohibits a person from carrying a firearm into a bar.
Fl statute prohibits carrying at locations where booze is served. There is (if I remember right) an exclusion if it’s a restaurant that also serves booze. Anyway, it was, as expected, a gun free zone. And yes, I believe that FL has the highest rate of CCW holders.

It occurred to me too. More than 300 people there and not one was armed.
Libs, please note: Muslims kill homosexual people as a matter of policy. They rape pretty women, policy again. Enjoy what you in your ignorance have unleashed upon our Nation.

no one in the bar was carrying...
As part of getting this pioneering CCW law in Florida in the early 90’s, concessions were made.
In Florida, it is generally illegal to carry a weapon. ... where the service of alcohol is the primary function, i.e., the bar area of a restaurant or club.
It is time to end that ban.
I presume the nightclub was a gun-free zone which made it a free fire zone for the islamist. One off duty police officer wasn’t able to put him down, but perhaps a couple concealed carry “pink pistol”’members in the bar could have made a difference.
The club’s policy prohibited guns. Enforced free kill zone.
I think the rape all women. Pretty or not. Just to show ‘em who’s the boss.
Yeah but that would have meant breaking the law. That’s not what law abiding citizens do. At the risk of their lives obviously.
He hated Jews, Blacks and Christians, too, buttercup.
So we can expect this kind of sorrow and compassion for our feelings when its a Baptist vacation bible school that gets massacred next, right?
a MUSLIM did this on American soil. Time for Muslims in America to formally denounce this, or leave America, today.

That is off of the approved narrative.
Didn’t their hear Obama and Clinton? Both stayed on narrative and blamed guns. The Dem Rep for that area of Florida was on camera yesterday morning and on narrative of blaming guns. Many of the news commentators by late Sunday were on narrative and blaming guns.
It is difficult for the Libs when one narrative-group is attacked by another narrative-group. What’s a good Liberal to do? Which narrative-group do they support? Decisions. Decisions.
