Mitt Romney blasted the Republican Party on Saturday for not doing more to stop presumptive nominee Donald Trump, saying that the prospects for the party are bleak.
During a discussion in Park City, Utah, where Romney is hosting his annual conservative summit, the 2012 presidential nominee singled out Trumps former rivals Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio), the last two candidates to drop out of the race against Trump.
"Ted Cruz was basically praising Donald Trump through the whole process," Romney told discussion host and CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. And Kasich was in well after the time there was no possible pathway to becoming the nominee."

"Seeing this is breaking my heart," he added of the future of the party.
Romney has intensified his attacks on Trump over the weekend during his annual retreat.
During another interview with Blitzer on Friday, Romney accused Trump of promoting trickle-down racism, misogyny and bigotry.

"Ted Cruz was basically praising Donald Trump through the whole process," Romney told discussion host and CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. This lie is a perfect example of how both parties and the MSM create and shape public opinion and if one gets their news only from MSM and quotes from politicians, they view and LIVE a different reality than those who follow the links to news stories, links found on Drudge and Free Republic.
From at least around the Iowa primary, Cruz's stump speeches and interviews were indistinguishable from Glenn Beck or Mark Levin's program.
EVERY Cruz speech consisted of over-the-top, obsessive criticism of Trump. If the measure Romney refers to is how much a Repub candidate attacked Trump, Cruz deserves a medal.
Why would Romney LIE like that? Because he honestly does not know, did not follow the campaign closely?
The Natural Born Canadian should take great umbridge, publicly, to Romney's rewriting of history. Cruz did his part if his part was to disparage Trump with character assassination, lies, accusations and fever-pitched, wild-man sounding attacks.

Spelling a problem as well?
You seem to equate crassness and crudeness with a well though out argument.
Logic a problem too!!!! ?
If after 3 years cannot write better than that, did it take you 13 years to get through junior high as well?
Good bye.

There was a Romney extended family portrait and several black pundits noted his pandering when he included a little black child - some presumed this was so he could point to it and say, "Look at me, I'm not a racist." IIRC that was his adopted grandchild.
Should they have been left out?

Well go on and GTFO then Mitt-Witt, and join up with the RATS, thats where you want to be anyway, and theyll be happy to have ya. KMFA you Mormon fruitcake.I had a lot higher opinion of Mormons until Mitt started opening his big yap this year. Now I view Mitt and his type of Mormons as clean-cut, mindless money grubbers. Mitt got wealthy running a Wall Street Raiding machine at Bain. The Dems were right about him in 2012 as far as his career on Wall Street. It destroyed wealth in a way that profited Mitt at Bain Capital.

A new pompous arrival whose delicate sensitivities are so easily offended by acronyms has no credibility whatsoever and should think about getting into some group therapy.
#2: Anyone who cannot elucidate their thoughts without resorting to foolish profanity is not worth communicating with, ergo, good bye.
If you can't tell the difference between "foolish profanity" and an acronym which actually avoids profanity is an absolute douche bag, minus the douche, "ergo" an empty vessel without any meaningful content. You say "goodbye"?
I say "Don't let the door hit ya, where the bad dawg bit ya".

Spelling a problem as well?
Ohhhh, a spelling Nazi are ya? Unfortunately for you, it appears that you can't tell the difference between an actual error in spelling and a phonetically constructed sentence. We love faux grammar and spelling "experts" like you, chewing you up real good is like being served an exquisite appetizer before the main course.
You seem to equate crassness and crudeness with a well though out argument.
WHOOP! WHOOP! SPELLING ERROR!!
"well though out argument" should be "well thought out argument", BWHAHHA!!!
Logic a problem too!!!! ?
You're obviously projecting. Must be that jet lag.
If after 3 years cannot write better than that, did it take you 13 years to get through junior high as well?
Non sequitur, your statement is improperly constructed.
Good bye.
Redundant. You win one final acronym:
"GFY"

Sad but true old FRiend. In retrospect, those comparisons of Mitt Romney with Gordon Gekko were all too accurate.

They portrayed you as a wealthy, out of touch Scrooge who couldn't relate to the common man with binders full of women. I know the sentiment in which you meant it but it is ironic that what they portrayed him as is exactly what he's become.
The funny thing is Trump can name names of the woman he's worked with, Romney talked of binders. Romney doesn't look at the rank and file as people they are just names and numbers in a binder to him. That's what he did as an investment Banker: look at Binders and decide which names to cut. In hindsight it's all starting to make sense.
Even the fact that Romney didn't know the price of a pound of hamburger. I bet if you asked Trump he'd spout back "are you talking retail or wholesale price?'
This is why Trump will win. He looks at the American people and sees people. He looks at the US as a place where if Government gets out of the way and places a fair framework in place, his fellow Americans will do fine on their own without having to grovel to the government elites for a handout.
