If US citizens give birth to a child in a foreign land the child is a US citizen.

The judge was born in 1953 when both parents were citizens of Mexico. Therefore he is a citizen of Mexico, not the US. So since he passes as a US citizen when actually Mexican, he is a fraud and Trump has exposed the crime.IMHO

The point here is that children born to foreign nationals in the United States, whether here legally or illegally, are not United States citizens.

‘Prison sentence? For what?’

For being an illegal enemy combatant.

That means Zilch. Non-US citizens with a Green Card are perfectly legal US permanent residents. They do everything including paying income taxes, social security taxes and can receive SS benefits and Medicare benefits, just like US citizens. The only thing the Green card holders cannot do is vote!

SO instead of looking like un-informed posters, the focus should be whether the judge’s parents were legal immigrants or illegal immigrants. Children born to green card holders are NOT anchor babies, for the very simple reason parents can legally stay in US PERMANENTLY.

La Raza?

Better sit down when you learn just who they are.

At this point it doesn’t matter whether the parents were legal or illegal. The current interpretation of law says that anchor babies ARE US citizens.

However, it does mean that the judge would have a fairly obvious prejudice against Donald Trump and recuse himself for this reason, for his membership in LaRaza, and for his connections to the Hillary campaign.

All of those are non starters.

The point here is that children born to foreign nationals in the United States, whether here legally or illegally, are not United States citizens.

That is NOT correct. I personally know many legal immigrants children born on US soil have received US citizenship automatically.

I wanted to throw something at the TV a bit ago when the local news covered this judge and Trump.

Same ole BS the whole libtard media is running with and no mention of the judge’s La Raza’s ties.

No mention of the conflict of interest either with the judge being an anti-Trumper. I guess for the libtard culture, including the media, a “fair” trial includes deceiving and squashing anyone who doesn’t agree with their agenda.

The age of tyranny continues in this country and these libtards cannot figure out just how un-American they have become.

Judge was born in 1953. Mother naturalized in 1969 https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1951-36325-10834-58?cc=2137708

No naturalization record found yet for father.

And what's your point? I ask because there is now law that requires a person who lawfully immigrates to the United State to become a naturalized citizen. I know people from Ireland, Germany, Italy, and even Mexico, who are legal "green card" residents, but for whatever reason, have chosen not to become citizens.

Yes, it is entirely possible, probable and almost certain than Judge Gonzo is prejudiced against Trump based on comments made by the candidate.

I am simply trying to correct poster’s erroneous statements about children born in US to non-citizens.

"... there’s no actual evidence that his parents were not citizens...."

Oh gosh, I am going to disagree with that right there.

All evidence produced at this point regarding his parents implies that they were 100% illegal aliens when their little SJW was born. One never became a citizen. The other did, but after the SJW was born.

According to the 14th Amendment, he is not a citizen.

With post #17, looks like there is some proof.

Proof of what? That his father never opted to become a naturalized US citizen? Literally hundreds of thousands of people live legally in the United States as permanent legal residents, and there is no law that requires them to apply for citizenship. Some do and some don't.

That’s the law under the 14th amendment. Did Congress pass a law giving citizenship to children born to foreign nationals?

You are exactly right. I know this from personal experience being a naturalized citizen, and having personally known dozens and dozens of people from European countries who for some reason do not wish to become US citizens. But since they are all Green Card (permanent residence visa) holders, they can exercise all the rights of a US citizen except vote. They can travel freely in and out of the country, collect social security and Medicare benefits if they have paid commensurate taxes.

Must have since every child born to LEGAL US residents become US citizens. And that does NOT make them anchor babies since parents are legal permanent residents of US.
